I don't think he is and I'll explain why.

He went to war with Pascal and proved to be of championship mettle.
You don't just hang in there in a fight like that and be a flash in the pan. Froch has proven to be championship material already but that doesn't mean he's special. His next few fights will tell us allot and I for one think he will go hugely farther than he is expected to. You cannot put a gauge on heart. I know this first hand.

Well yeah.... He has not been really tested by a world class fighter. Pascal isn't world class.

He is a belt holder... nothing more and nothing less.

Anyways... I am looking forward to an action fight with Taylor.

Pascal isn't a world class fighter...The man ducked Miranda and no one will ever confuse Miranda as a world class fighter. Lets not make a great action fight more than what it is.

          Good video.

Carl Froch is a paper champion.

He gets beat by Kessler, Taylor, Bute.

It wouldn't surprise me if Miranda beat him.

Yeah... who on Froch resume is even close to Hopkins?

What has Froch done to be even considered world class? Nothing.

              People are obtuse...

Sorry you are butthurt over my comment.

              Try this...

Then making generalisations about this place and it posters, is something I am qualified to do..As long as I remain aware there are, and will always be exceptions to EVERY genralisation , And I am aware..

And on that note.. ANYONE who is not from the UK.. has seen ONE maybe possibly TWO.. Froch Fights.. which is why Robin Reid and Jean Pascal are the ONLY names ever brought up by NON UK residents..(again I know there are exceptions)

I am also Old enough to know.. That younger people tend be much more mercurial than mature people..

So you will get statements from them.. that leave NO ROOM for debate.. never is an opinion mentioned.. never is the possibility of these people being wrong even considered..

How do you debate "Taylor will PWN Froch because Reid was able to punch him" ???

Give me a break, please??.. and give yourself one while you are it..
Instead of trying to defend what makes you "qualified" to make sweeping generalizations, which are inherently flawed (as you admit), why not call these people out specifically and make them look like the asses they are?

Because inevitably the stereotypes you use are going to be glaringly wrong in certain cases, and never, ever will they actually further the discussion.

So instead of trying to "debate Taylor will PWN Froch because Reid was able to punch him," why not at least quote the poster in question and let them know you think they're an idiot instead of making blanket statements about everyone and no one in particular?

Im not to sure on Froch. Only made his pro debut in 2002, so 24 fights in, i look at his CV and although there is not any big names there, i think that could be a little misleading.
I like watching him fight, hes aggessive, has a good punch aswell as a good chin (although he seems to hang his left hand low, and is easily drawn into a brawl) .
Im eager to see him fight the likes of Taylor as only then will we see if hes a top fighter and not just a good domestic level boxer. But if i was to have a bet on a Froch - Taylor fight, id give Froch a good chance.

It's pretty easy to see that Pascal has allot of talent and he is very busy/accurate. I think he would have beaten Miranda either way and I'm sure he had his reasons for not fighting him.

Valid reason #1 being that he got to fight for a world title shortly afterwards. That would be enough motivation for me.

Well I just don't think too highly of a person who looked very bad vs a club fighter in Pittman. He was wobbled and hurt vs a guy who should have been outclassed.
