"The Cobra" is seriously growing on me now. He responds intelligently and still comes off as a beast in the ring. Pascal was a real threat and he blew him up impressively. No doubting that it was a great win and should be considered just as good as beating a champion. Pascal would spank Bute right now. I love the "smoke his boots" comment , that had me rollin' in laughter when i read it. I say Carl has a serious chance in beating Taylor if Lacy almost did. He has better timing and workrate and is known for his power as well. I gotta wish him well.

Pascal fought nobody of note prior to Froch; yes he showed brief flashes of natural ability but overall was seriously lacking in fundamentals. And if Pascal had done any work in the latter rounds, he would've won the fight. Instead he just stood there trying to dodge punches. Kudos to Carl for the hard-fought win, but it doesn't rank as all that impressive in my book.

And how did Lacy almost beat Taylor? Other than a debatable flash knockdown, Lacy was completely dominated from bell to bell.

Froch does speak the truth about Calzaghe tho. How for a decade he hid behing his country walls. He is willing to come to America in his first title defense against Taylor. Thats pretty impressive because Taylor is still in his prime. And nobody should say Kessler is world class, because who has he beat that is world class, and how many world class fighters has he fought? And Lacy, the next Tyson??? he had only 18 fights when he fought Calzaghe. He was all hype.
