i am one of the unbeliever of joe calzaghe years back. back after joe made mincemeat of then undefeated kessler and lacy and how he toyed with roy jones jr and hopkins, i become an instant fan of him.

joe has made the right decision. he has beaten the best of middleweight and light heavyweight. he has nothing left to prove.

never mind fighting dawson. he is not on joe's class!

Who has Kessler fought? and a 18 win Jeff BUM lacy! A 40 yr. Roy OLD Jones Jr. And A 43 yr olds hopkins that got robbed by the judges. *Calzaghe didn't even hit him at all, he hit his arms and elbows the whole fight* I guess your the best if you fight have the weakest resume. I respect Mayorga's, DLH's, And even Mayweathers resume before i respect Calzaghes.

What will happen if Calzaghe faught Chad is .....

            1. Chad will lose, Zaghes far more experienced.
            2. Chad would get a payday.
            3. Calzaghe (AGAIN) won't get any credit for the win, "Chad is wet behind the ears", "Chad was overated anyway, another Jeff Lacy"....bla blaaa blaaa it will be Pavlik Hopkins all over again.

There is nobody out there for Calzaghe, if there is they will lose unless they can knock him out, which ain't happening. Get over it.

              Good riddance.

Don't come back unless your fighting B-Hop or a very good fighter who's in his prime.

              If not, stay in Wales.

Glad he is happy, hope he stays retired, unless he wants to fight a prime fighter, which he probably doesnt, so whats the point. People have been saying dawson vs calzaghe for ages, mainly because dawson has power and superb handspeed. Who knows, maybe in the future, but then people will say joe is past it anyways if he loses.

Cant see JC returning. I think he will get real lazy when he retires like Hamed and gain weight and not be in shape for a comeback.

I dont know why warren keeps saying he will comeback like he has got the inside story or something. Theres nothing wrong with comebacks. Great boxers have always made comebacks. So long as you are good enough to comeback.
Lennox lewis has done well to stick to his word but noone is going to give him extra brownie points as a boxer for it. He lost to 2 people he shouldnt have and that will always be on his record whether he stays retired or not. George foreman hasnt dimished himself by making a comeback and winning the title at 43, and neither has Vitali.

Lacy had 21 wins and Joe was a big underdog, even in the UK.

Even i have to step in here.

Joe was pure class against lacy, lacy was the favorite in that fight, still remember staying up late for that one at my best mates, even he got taken in by the hype and thought lacy by knockout.

I went for calzaghe TKO in 10.

His best fight for me, cos he was soooo scared it was hilarious, still remember him coming into the arena with his headphones on trying to stay calm, he was cacking himself. Thats when i knew lacy was gonna be in trouble, cos calzaghe took him very seriously, and lacy didnt extend the same respect imo.

Gotta give joe credit for that performance.
