I have to say my only real experience with Froch was the Pascal fight, a piece of some other fight(can't remember which) and youtube highlight clips. Folks occasionally underrate Taylor b/c his athleticism is so exceptional and he's ultimately been unable to really utilize it properly. At the end of the day though he is IMO an elite fighter. Froch is still more of a mystery to me(he may crash the elite in his next fight or he may reveal himself to be B-level) I do think the fight will be really exciting though b/c Froch is there to be hit, he also will always be a threat to knock Taylor out even if he's behind on the cards late.. and Taylor tends to fade in the later rounds which makes him even more suseptible to danger against big punchers.
Taylor has never KOed Froch before. How can you predict then he will KO him for this match up? You are insane.

You pretty much summed up everything I thought. And you're right, I thought Froch vs Pascal might tell us more about where Froch stands, but as he discarded his boxing completely it didn't. He might just be b-level and get tamed... though even if he KOs Taylor that doesn't necessarily mean he's elite either.

One thing's for sure, IMO... with people like Abraham moving up then the SMW division could get VERY interesting if they all fight each other.

Manny.. I can't believe you're turning on your former charge like this. This is going to cripple Taylor's confidence.

Keep that up and I'll send Wlad round to your house (in a full face and chin headguard so he won't get KTFO) to send a Klitschko right hand straight down the pipe.

I can predict the future and all I am seeing now is FROCH.

I wasn't saying that either. (I'd have to think on that).

I'm saying that Taylor facing Wanky can't be taken as Taylor facing a real middleweight, because he clearly isn't (leaving aside the fact that I thought Taylor was given a gift draw anyway).

Whereas Moby was - whatever his limitations - a genuine middleweight. Size-wise, strength-wise, power-wise, etc.

It would probably end up in a decapitated Miranda but perhaps not.. I'd love to see Miranda -VS- Froch in an all balls no brains hands down brawl for it all. Points taken away for blocking punches. Potential for round of the year sort of fight. Of course this sort of fight would be a dumb risk/reward situation for Froch.

Naw, really, I'm looking forward to this fight. I can see Froch eating some leather, but giving as good as he gets. It's a toss up in my mind.

SO Taylor's best wins are a set of razortight decisions of Hopkins, a gift against Winky and a battering of what is left of the body of Lacy, 3 years after his soul left.

He has lost twice to Pavlik who is probably the most similar to Froch...

That would be a GREAT fight.

Actually, I think the person I could see most likely beating Froch would be Abraham... I've got a lot of time for Abraham. Regardless of the fact that it should have been stopped as a TKO, anyone that can go seven rounds with their mouth open pouring blood and not get stopped has my respect.
