Give him a break, he's just paying his respects to a fighter who's just retired, and pointing out that Froch's bitter comments were pathetic. But I agree it's time they signed the contracts and quit stalling.

Pretty harsh words for a guy giving you a title shot.

me thinks if taylor sparks froch, that a calzaghe - taylor match is on the horizon.

I doubt it Mel, Taylors only just at SMW and is small for that. Joe cannot get down to SMW anymore, would struggle with 170 or something even.

He's retired so I can't see him watching the pounds either.

That's just the weight, Taylor has too many losses and doesn't bring enough acclaim, especially just coming off a win over Froch whom Joe and a lot don't rate all that highly.

I want Taylor to beat Froch which he will if he's clever. Then a Kessler unification would be nice, the winner of that would be a big name then. Still not enough for a Joe fight, I think the only slim chance of Joe fighting again is Dawson, and even then Dawsons path doesn't seem to lend itself to forcing/encouraging such a fight.

Not only is Froch no Calzaghe, this stiff one-dimensional slugger is not even Sakio Bika.

              Did he actually say this?

I remember pre Kessler Joe did everything he could to get Taylor in the ring and Taylor did nothing but make excuses shesh c'mon guys don't you remember this what did your memory suddenly wipe come on guys you're better than this don't give this man any props :S :S :S :S

Don't do this, don't make out like Joe never wanted a Jermain fight#, he did and badly because at the time he couldn't get Bhop - remember? Jermain did nothing but avoid.
Taylor even turned down the 5 million dollars that Calzaghe offered and then asked for 10 knowing that the fight wasn't going to generate enough to pay that much. Calzaghe even flew to America to watch Taylor fight live and was on FNF to promote a potential Taylor fight. Then Taylor backed out by doubling what he was going to agree to ( just like Hopkins did to Joe years ago), fought Pavlik and got sparked. That's why they never fought when Taylor was the "hope" to beat Calzaghe. Then that "hope" torch was passed to Pavlik until he fought Hopkins and got schooled.

Froch and Taylor is a good matcup, I give the edge to Taylor in that fight. Then the winner should definitely fight Kessler.
