The history books are often trash. I'll remember BHop's racist mouth cost him that fight more than his performance which was remarkable given he fought handicapped that night fighting thyroid trouble. Never saw Hopkins so exhausted in a fight where he wasn't even moving that much before or since. Calzaghe didn't even turn it up till about round 6 and Hop was showing signs of already being completely spent against a man that could barely lay a glove on him. Give me even a 2007 Hopkins and he wins 8 - 4.

I, like many Hopkins fans, was thinking Joe would eat straight right hands all night after Round 1, but hey, what can you do, even with Mackie Shilstone, a 43 year old Hopkins doesn't have the ability to throw 100 punches a round.

I was SHOCKED when Jones knocked him down in the first, didn't see that coming, and even though I bet on Jones to win, I was betting with my heart, I knew that after the fights he had against Hanshaw and Trinidad that it still wasn't good enough to beat Joe.

I agree with Benn. the only guy who had a chance at beating Joe on that List was Hearns do to his great rigfht hand. Hell beat SRL,Benn himself, Duran was too small to beat Zaghe, and Hagler is overrated as hell, I like the guy but he gets overrated ridiculously.
