Sugar Ray would outbox Joe. Hagler would laugh at his slaps. Hearns is tough as nails. I don't see how Joe handles him.

Hagler is a real stretch.
Regardless, why not name people from super middleweight and up? People always casually throw around the names of Duran (LW) and Hearns/Leonard (WW) when speaking of who a fighter would beat. Just because they fought at the same weights as Calzaghe eventually doesn't mean they were at their best there.Comment

What's up with these old brits just laying down for the young guy? Just like when Lennox Lewis said that David Haye hits harder than him.Comment

good for nigel benn. the guy's humble because he knew that he is not even worthy to be compared to calzaghe. calzaghe's caliber is way better than him.
but i don't think it would be appropriate to mention that joe would beat hagler, hearns, leonard and duran. calzaghe is good but i doubt he can beat these men.Comment

Hagler looks a bit Antonio Tarver-ish in your signature. Only he's light enough to reflect the camera's flash.... whereas Tarver absorbs any and all spectra of light.Comment

Calzaghe has been one of my least favorite fighters due to his amazingly ugly and sloppy style, but I dislike ******ity and ignorance far more than gay looking slaps.
People writing off his chances against the prime WELTERWEIGHT Leonard, prime WELTERWEIGHT/JUNIOR MIDDLEWEIGHT Hearns, and prime MIDDLEWEIGHT Hagler is ridiculous. Calzaghe would be a light-heavyweight in those days.
Losing to Duran? What did Duran do above 160 lbs besides win a hometown decision (or so I've been told) to Jorge Castro? Duran was a friggin LIGHTWEIGHT when he peaked, who was wholly inconsistent above 147. Leonard looked like **** for the fights he had above middleweight, one of them against a weight-drained Lalonde, and the other a gift draw against a declining Hearns whom was seen as shot after his KO loss to Barkley and struggle against Kinchen.Comment
