one of the first fights i remember watching was the benn mclellan fight which in my opinion was one of the best comebacks ive ever seen in boxing after the pure beating benn recived in the first round this has probs been a topic a long time ago but i would like to know peoples thought on the fight should it have been stopped in the first was the ref on the pay roll or was he right to let the fight carry on or should the G-Man have won the fight ?????

the ref was obviously biased
not only did he not stop it when benn flew out the ring, he also allowed the excessive rabbit punching -
but bar that riz the fight was a classic though bruv..
Obviously not one i watch because of the awful ending
but still a classic fightComment

That was a great fight Benn came back well after the first round beating and he was almost out in the 8th as well, I would say though that while i give Benn a lot off credit for coming back it was clear to me that from the 3 round onwards McClellan had some sort of problem his mouth piece was half way out his mouth and every time he was hit even slightly he reacted very strange and was blinking constantly through out the fight. I think if McClellan had won in the first the same thing would have happened to him in another fight.Comment

acording to mclellans website he was ahead on 2 scorecards and 84-84 on the other and as a Benn fan didnt see him winning the fight but having watched the fight again recently do think it should have been over in the first like mclellan said it would be but first round aside what a comeback tho i still think had it gone the distance benn would have lost its just a big shame what happened to mclellan as i think he could have gone one to be one of the greatsComment
