Exactly. Zab scored a KD against Floyd as well, even if it wasn't called one. in the end, both meant nada.

were all good fights.
I enjoyed all those fights and the fights you listed above, i honestly haven't found many Pernell Whitaker fights boring. Especially his Lightweight fights where he fought on the inside, throwing as i said 90+ punches around. Going to the body and head.
And even when he didn't fight on the inside and he fought his defensive kind of fight on the outside, i found it exciting the way he could avoid punches in such an unorthodox manner. I'd never seen anything like it before.

I think Whitaker would beat him clearly myself. Mayweather Snr has already stressed ealier in Floyd's career that he is not comfortable fighting Southpaw's and i think we saw that in his fight with Judah where he he got outboxed for 5 rounds. Corley even managed to buzz him.
Pernell would have Mayweather x2 on his resume if he had fought Floyd too.
cmon mang, this is all mythical stuff

Mayweathers defense may not be as exciting as whitakers but it is ten times more effective.
Mayweathers only real weakness as a fighter is his KO power and he even trumps Pernell in that category as well. May has 25 kos in 39 fights to Pernell's 17 KOs in 46 fights.
Mayweather wins cleanly

Whitaker just paints beautiful pictures when he fights and he has the ball to stand infront of you too. He is quite aggressive when he choose too be.

Originally posted by TheManchine View PostRoger is underrated because of his chin, he managed to achieve quite a lot and certainly had more punching power than Floyd does. It was only Whitaker's 12th fight and he dominated a 2-division champion aside from being knocked down once.
And that always let him down as for the Roger Mayweather/Pernell Whitaker fight. Your totally right Pernell Whitaker whipped Roger Mayweather on the inside all night long.
And he may of stopped him in the 1st round but Roger Mayweather was saved by the bell. Pernell Whitaker pulled Roger Mayweather's trunks down and that angered Roger Mayweather, plus Pernell Whitaker got too over confident and left his chin exposed.
Hence why Pernell Whitaker got caught by that counter right hand, and got dropped but i think the punch Pernell Whitaker was hit with. While he was on the canvas hurt him just as much as the knockdown punch. And Roger Mayweather deserved a point deducted for that.
Pernell Whitaker was shaken but he used his defensive skills to avoid Roger Mayweather's punches. And he recovered soon after, if i remember rightly i only gave Roger Mayweather 2 rounds and that was the knockdown round. In the 9th round and the 10th round, other than that i thought Pernell Whitaker clearly won the other rounds without too much trouble.
