The fact that they were almost equal on hand speed, but Whitaker was faster with his feet and upperbody movement, make him faster than Mayweather. Whitaker stood for a couple of rounds toe to toe with Trinidad, and even hurt Trinidad in the 7th round. That for me is prove enough, of Whitaker being stronger!!!!!!!!!!

That isn't to do with Pernell being strong. Like I said...Whitaker is a better inside fighter then Mayweather, better body puncher and knows when to tie you up...That doesn't mean he is stronger. Do you think a 43 y/o B-Hop is as strong as Pavlik? Did B-Hop beat Pavlik on the inside due to being stronger or smarter?

Both. Hopkins looked stronger than Pavlik. I mean he couldnt do it to a 36 year old guy, but he did it to a 26. So theres goes your point of age.Hopkins is stronger than Pavlik as of now. You cant manhandle a guy on the inside,just on pure smartness, you have to be equally strong or close to it!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, but Hopkins is obviously much stronger than Pavlik. For one, he melted down from about 190 ripped, and had been fighting at LHW for a couple of years. Power is the last thing to go.

As for the thread, a prime Whitaker is far better than anyone Mayweather ever faced, so to think Floyd destroys him is ridiculous. Whitaker UD, all day, every day. Floyd is/was very good, but Sweet Pea was great.

i cant believe this is even a question Whitaker wins this by Wide UD. His defense was greater than floyd's and he had good power that he could hurt his opponents when he let his hands go! Not to mention the few fights that floyd had against southpaws he somewhat struggled and they were guys no where near Whitaker's level! I really dont see how floyd could win this fight unless he came in with a more aggressive mindset trying to beat him to the punch which would have been a very tough task...
