Floyd Mayweather is better than both of them so why not put him back in the list. The fact is Calzaghe's recent performances have been better.

Cotto was 3 and 4 on every list before losing, Margo was like 15 or 16 in every list so, if he loses he should be droped to 8,9 or 10. But getting him out because of 1 loss, is insane. You do that to fighters who are, 8,9 and 10, but not to any of the top 5. marquez loss to a top fighter, but he loss twice. And yeah I may be a bit bias towards my fighters, everybody does!!!!!!!!!!!

          Mayweather is retired, therefore irrelavent.

hypothetical fights between boxers is the original basis of the pound-for-pound rankings i believe, and that should still be a factor today

resume is important as hell, but it's not the be all and end all
            i agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ring has a great list other than caballero. I would put donaire or darchinyan at #10 instead. JMM is number 2 because in the eyes of many (including ring magazine) he beat pacquiao.

I dont believe Cotto should be out of the top 10, that was just an example of why taking Marquez out didnt make sense to me. I dont believe Hatton belongs, if they are going to turn the P4P list into a popularity contest then they might as well start letting PPV sales determine the list.

The point I was making is that who is the most skilled boxer can't be the only criteria. You must take into consideration recent performances and Calzaghe's have been better.

That's the thing about boxing, it's all about opinion. I believe Calzaghe might have lost to B-Hop and Jones was less than half the fighter that he used to be. While Marquez fought #1 Paquiao as close as posible(I gave it to Marquez), and was the first to stop Casamayor, who was old, put not as past it as Roy Jones. We can discuss it all day and not agree.
