Duran lost 16 fights because he fought until he was 50 years old.
its like this..... leon spinkx beat ali, who is possibly the no.1 atg...... does that make his resume more impressive than that on the klitchko brothers? mike tyson? even david haye?

      That's because he hasn't fought 120 times.

Duran is not comparable to Hopkins anyway, boxers age differently. Hopkins has aged better than just about any other boxer in history. He is actually better now than he was in his 20's.

Ali was 37 years old and had Parkinson's. Spinks never won another significant fight.

It's not a comparable situation. Leonard was in his prime and Duran had many other big wins as well, the win over Leonard was just his very best.

Here is what separates Duran from Vargas and Mayorga
              Duran
              won 103 fights (KO 70)

The man won over 100 fights. He knocked out 70 fools.

              That is greatness son.

Could Floyd fight 119 times in his career with out losing? He lost to Jose Luis Castillo the first time around. Oooops!

its comparable in the sense of beating an atg....... are u sure ali had parkensons in that fight? and shane is 37 years old.... thats not really old...........

imo if u are gonna rank duran as an atg than u absolutley have to rank him behind the likes of tyson, hopkins, jones, mayweather, lennox, holyfield, and maybe even pacquiao

in his era, they fought every weekend. and even still, he probably fought because he had too.........

i doubt that after fighting hagler, hears and leonar, duran had to keep fighting

Leonard redeemed himself with a close win over hagler.... if not for that, his atg ranking would be late 40's early 50's imo
Redeemed himself - are you serious? Before this Leonard had wins over ATGs Wilfred Benitez, Roberto Duran and Tommy Hearns and you'd put him late 40s to early 50s? Wow, I'd love to see your ATG list.

Ali was well past his best in that fight. Compare the difference in the fighter that fought Spinks and the one that fought Cleveland Williams.

You'd put Mayweather in front of Roberto Duran? Lol. That's one of the funniest claims I've heard on this site and that is saying something!
