I could've sworn Winky lost his date with HBO because he demanded a tune-up. And, in turn, was forced to book a fight with Versus which he later pulled out of. Wright is now fighting Williams.

As for Kessler...let's not go there. One minute, his promoters are holding him up and now we hear that Taylor was ducking him. I know mirrors are hard to come by but he's in no position to talk given his own track record. Isn't he fighting Mads Larsen next? Who did he fight in his last fight? Glass house residents need not speak.

I could care less for Taylor-Green but, truthfully, I'm indifferent towards Taylor. We'll see what noise he makes at 168 this year.

I have no problem with this matchup, and I'm surprised at all the resentment it is getting here. This isn't a title fight and Taylor can choose any path to one that he sees fit. Green's power makes him a very live opponent IMO.

DiBella is on record saying that he didn't approach Kessler's team because he felt that fight was too dangerous for Taylor at this stage. He even admitted that Kessler would probably take the fight.

He did approach Bute's people, but they were not interested.

There's Kessler, Bute, Froch and Taylor and none of them seem able of working out a deal to fight each other.

          It's pretty pathetic.

This is another crossroads fight for both guys, especially Green. He's always complaining about not getting big fights. And if he loses this one, I think he drops out of the top 10. And if Taylor loses, he just becomes another named fighter which will look good on the resumes of other former Olympians like Dirrell and Ward.

It's a damn shame if this is true, and if so he's simply ducking and there's nothing else to be said. I don't believe DiBella when he says its all about the money [for Jermain]. I think Jermain wants to regain his starpower, even if that doesn't entail climbing the ranks to the top of the division. He's obviously lost a lot with the Pavlik fights and wants some stature back.

But if he REALLY wants to get his fame back it is hypocritical that he would take a Showtime (smaller public stage) fight against a lesser opponent than go to the American television boxing mecca against a highly regarded champ or another well respected opponent.

The point is that Taylor doesn't want a title fight, he was the WBC mandatory and he ducked it to fight Green, having previously fought Lacy in preference to fighting for the title. Lacy could be justified on the basis he deserved a tune-up fight after two losses to Pavlik, but he can't claim he needs two tune-ups, IMO.

Taylor wants the title shot but negotiations did not work out with location/money/date. LOL @ believing he would duck Froch someone that has Hopkins, Wright, Pavlik on resume. Cmon ppl

Froch's big mouth has people thinking something is there, that isn't.
But go ahead, Gardner Snake. Keep on running your yapper. You just might get THAT fight.
