Are Showtime or HBO any more likely to show interest in Froch-Ward than they did in Froch-Taylor? If not, would Ward be any more willing to travel and fight for Froch's title without their backing?

I think it's very possible that Showtime would be willing to air a special edition ShoBox card with Froch-Ward headlining it. That card would be much cheaper to Showtime than Froch-Taylor.

Also, from what I understand, the Taylor-Green fight might be paired with Spinks-Latimore in St. Louis, which is guaranteed to do very good business. So, Froch doesn't really add much more to the fight than Allan Green, who is from nearby Oklahoma.

This is a hell of a matchup in my opinion. Allen Green does everything well and looks phenomenal doing it. But its easy to look good against C and B- level opposition. Taylor wins this one just because he's been fighting A level competiton for the last 4 years (not counting Lacy).

Froch and Green are on the same level. If Bute and Kessler negotiations did not work out, nothing extremely wrong with this fight. Rather see him go for belt but whatever still a good fight.
