So that means we should compare them? Huh?

I wouldn't expect you to engage with an intelligent reply. I was right again.

Im shocked how much people are underestimating Green and overrating Taylor. This is a great fight for boxing

Allan Green would beat the piss out of Carl Froch.
Most boxing experts disagree, hence their relative Ring rankings. If he were as confident as you are, he'd be calling out Froch himself, and get himself the WBC belt.

Everybody (outside camp Taylor that is) knows that Jermain is ready to fight the best the division has to offer and that he'll be favored to win against any of them. So as a fan I'm pretty dissapointed.
The idea that Taylor can get a fight with anyone he chooses is fantasy. He tried to get a fight with Bute, but was given the cold shoulder. He tried to get a fight with Froch, but HBO turned it down and apparently Showtime couldn't care less if Taylor fights Froch or Allan Green. Hell, they even tried to chase a fight with Calzaghe and were not-surprisingly rejected on that front as well.

And there are a LOT of people that would disagree with you about Jermain being ready to fight the best in the division. I've read posts from many posters here who question why he's even ranked in the top 5 at SMW since he's not done much at the weight. Polls on this site show Taylor as an overwhelming underdog to Kessler.

As a Taylor fan I would like to see him take on the best, but also feel that he was brought along too carefully as a MW contender prior to being thrown in with guys like Hopkins and Wright. He was never really tested in the ring prior to Hopkins, and has since struggled to dig deep and find that extra level he needs to reach in order to utilize all of his talent and ability. If he needs another confidence building fight, I'm OK with that. At least it's against a live opponent like Green and not some Contender clown.

All fair points, but I'd still be a lot more impressed with him, and I still believe it would have been a lot better for the health of the division, if he'd taken the Froch fight, given that he was still offered a very decent payday for it. $1.6 million isn't peanuts.

In the meantime Froch has been strung along for a month or so in the negotiations and now has to try to find someone else from scratch. The problems with HBO and Showtime will still be there with most of his credible alternative opponents, there's no guarantee he'll be able to end up fighting any of the elite fighters in his next match, the buzz won't be the same, and if he ends up fighting a nobody, he won't be any more marketable than he is now, which regardless of your opinion of him, is unfortunate when he holds the most prestigious of the alphabet titles.
