[QUOTE=Jim Jeffries;4651424]I think Phillip Holiday was a pretty decent win, John John Molina's best work was at SFW, but it was still a decent win. Obviously Shane's best work came later, and who knows how effective he would've been had he stayed at LW, or if he'd had the opportunity to face better opposition.

Heads up I think he gives most LWs problems though.[/

Of course he would. But its crazy to just say he would have beaten them all, especially based on his competition.

I haven't seen enough of Leonard to make any judgement, but of those I've seen, Duran and Whitaker would beat him, Floyd would be pretty close.

Shane had great skills at 135. But to be considered the greatest at any weight a fighter needs logevity, accomplishment and competition. Mosely falls short in these departments to many fighters. We can't judge on what we think he would have done, only on what he did. That said, he matches up well with many of the best lightweights in my opinion.

But this thread isn't about Greatness, it's about head to head matchups. He'll never be considered the greatest at LW and of course we can only speculate on h2h as his competition at LW wasn't the best.

No, but he saw Gans, Canzoneri, Dixon, Blackburn and many others during a time when there wwas half the weight classes, more professional fighters and only one champ in each division. Seems kind of funny he would pick Leonard out of all the fighters he could have picked, doesn't it? a guy he had no ties to whatsoever and absolutely no reason to call him the best unless he truly believed it.

Arcel had said that Duran was like a son to him, yet still rates Leonard higher. Kind of makes you think that he wasn't biased at all.

I would'nt say Floyd gets knocked silly, maybe lose but it would be a tight decision, Floyd would give anyone from 130-140 a tough fight, dude's got skills

I'm not too sure if Duran has the style to beat Mosley, i feel Floyd and Whitaker match up better
