I'm not too sure if Duran has the style to beat Mosley, i feel Floyd and Whitaker match up better
Well knocked silly might be a bit strong but he defo wins and inflicts some damage along the way

Benny Leonard beats Shane right after George Mican schools Lebron James. Two diff eras. Benny may have been better in his era than Shane was in his but if the two met, Benny would get blasted.

Prime Floyd vs Prime Shane would tell us who the best 135 pound fighter ever was. Duran would have been a great fight but he has more no mas in him than shane does so I'd go with Shane and his speed.

Pernell would have a chance, but I think that Floyd and shane are 1-2 in whatever order at the 135lb class.

No way Floyd beats shane easy. Zab won the first five rounds against Floyd. A much slower and smaller Castillo gave him alot of trouble. Shane has one of the hardest chins in the buis, and Floyd doesn't crack hard enough to hurt him. And Shanes hands were faster and stronger than Floyds.

Shane vs Floyd is completely up in the air.

I want to know who you think would beat him at 135?

Duran and Whitaker are the only two I would pick that I have actually seen. Possibly Mayweather. I don't think Chavez could beat Mosley based on what I saw in the Meldrick Taylor fight. Mosley was every bit as fast as Taylor and hit much harder with a better chin and defense. That would not have been good news for Chavez.

Mosley and Mayweather are not close to being two of the best 135 lbers ever.

You might think that they could beat everyone else, but the fact is that they did not come close to beating the same kind of opposition that Duran and Whitaker did at lightweight.

Mosley himself admitted that he was badly weight-drained as a lightweight, putting on nearly 20 lbs after the weigh-ins. He also thought that he was at his best as a welterweight against De La Hoya, which I agree with.

His welterweight career overshadows his lightweight run, in my opinion.

Shanes power at 135 is undeniable and much more devestating than it was at 147. 29ko in 31 fights. regardless of how drained he was, his domination is on paper boys.

The majority of his KO wins were over nobodies. Mosley was 23-0 with 22 KO's before he won the title and he had not fought anybody up to that point.

He went the distance with Philip Holiday and then stopped a couple of decent title contenders in the later rounds.

His LW run just wasn't that impressive to me.

How do you think Shane would have fared against Leonard, Gans, Ortiz, Duran and other top lightweights had he had to go through same day weigh ins?

That's true but Mosley and Mayweather would have been hell for any lightweight in history. And if you look at the opponents of both Duran and Whitaker, there is not a single fighter on there better than either Mosley or Mayweather. Those two would have been their best opponents by far. As far as all time rantings go, I agree that neither Mosley or Mayweather should rank as high as Duran or Whitaker.
