Do you think thats an accurate representation of Calzaghe's boxing career?

More people say that about Calzaghe in a day than say he is ATG in a month.
hammer - statements like that enable Calzaghe to do that.

"Why should he fight Dawson, he won't get credit for it!"

**crickets as he fights Roy Jones**

The fact of the matter is he should fight the best. The last time he did that, half the people thought he lost.

The truth of the Calzaghe's resume is probably somewhere in the middle of the two extreme opinions of NSB. I personally just disagree with the idea that Calzaghe is legend status as he claims and I also disagree that he has an incredible resume. It's very good IMO but not good enough to land him the ATG status some here seem to think he deserves.

As a result there are a lot of people who ultimately decide to go between the two push and pull opinions which are he's a god awful slapper or he's an ATG legend killer who has X amount of title defenses. Neither of which is true IMO.

            Agreed.

Calzaghe is a HOF'er, without question. Anything less shows bias...anything more lacks sense.

So GreatJoe, a brilliant poster as anyone who's read his threads knows, gives me red K for these posts. I hope everyone remembers just the sort of tw*t that poster is. He has nothing thoughtful to say so he gives red k. A complete vag*na.

If he cares about his legacy and wants to go out on top, he'll fight Dawson. Right now joe is only a good fighter on my list of boxers, but he'd be an atg if he beat Dawson. Dawson's really talented, he beat names like adamek, johnson(could have gone either way), and tarver

Revisonist history there mate, the first time Dawson name was ever mentioned was when Hopkins destroyed Pavlik.

I don't think he should fight Dawson because he is 37 with busted hands and frankly is getting close to the point of being shot himself, the fact he couldn't put away a tired shot RJJ should show that.

I see very little pleasure in seeing people fight for too long, the Idea of Barrera fighting Khan akes me pretty sad, the guy should hang up his gloves and save himself the brain damage, and don't even start me on Evander.

It's pointless, he's had a decent career, fantastic by all but ATG standard but at 37 enough is enough, time to go, wait the required years for HoF membership

Yes but Only to see him get beat tho! But knowing him he will fight a soft touch in his last fight in Cardiff and retire undefeated and be hailed as one of the true greats

Oh I see. So now he shouldn't fight Dawson because he might get hurt. And now he couldn't stop Jones because he's "close to the point of being shot himself."

I swear, you can't make this stuff up.
