He SHOULD get credit for Reid, Mitchell, Brewer, Woodhall and Hopkins, but he doesn't.

Fcuk it i'm not getting into a 20 page arguement with someone who refuses to have perspective.

I think Chad is in a place right now where he's near the top of his game. Adamek, Tarver Johnson. I'd be shocked if no one gave credit for that matchup. Who knows though.

To be fair, a lot of the American and British media favoured Lacy. Then as soon as people watched the beating Lacy got in the first round, he was labelled as a bum. Even if Lacy was exposed, Calzaghe exposed him first, and utterly dominated the younger, and more powerful fighter. Calzaghe was 36. Roy Jones was being brutally ko'd at 36, which for me, takes away some of the shine the great man had. Bernard Hopkins didn't want to fight Calzaghe and resorted to running and holding. Calzaghe still managed to grind out a win. Calzaghe has outlasted them all with style. His resume is not packed with the names of Hopkins or Roy Jones, but it also doesn't have any ko defeats, any wins over welterweights, and any ugly loses to the limited Jermain Taylor. He defended his belt, fought his madatories, moved up in weight, and held two linear championships.

The guy is good but no matter what, Calzaghe will never get any credit.

I agree he exposed him first. But from looking at his style from earlier fights till now. I think the evidence of Lacy's limitations were always evident.

All joking aside, If he fought and beat Dawson as i (and most of NSB according to the last poll taken) think he would, he would get no credit as usual, Dawson's career would be shrouded by the loss and some other poor schmuck would be lined up to fight Calzaghe ad nauseum, Taylor or Froch or some unknown like Dawson was 12 months ago.
I'm so sick of this bull**** excuse. What do you base this on? Jeff Lacy nearly FIVE YEARS AGO??? Becuase no one wanted to see him fight Jones. And the last time he fought a challenge, half the people thought he lost.

                So give it a rest.

I'm confused IMDAZED, refer to the post by KEV-WEED.

Do you think thats an accurate representation of Calzaghe's boxing career?

More people say that about Calzaghe in a day than say he is ATG in a month.

Just curious, who would people in the UK really be interested in seeing him fight? Froch? Certainly not Clinton Woods or anything.. Calzaghe would probably get much less credit for fighting a Froch right now. Calzaghe needs to step up to the plate and fight Miranda. That's the only way he gets any respect!
