Do you care or want Joe Calzaghe to come back? Poll!

Do you care or want Joe Calzaghe to come back? I don't like the senseless bashers on NSB so I hope people don't think that's what I'm attempting to do with this thread. However, at this stage I see a press release about Joe Calzaghe considering a comeback and I think.. Who gives a ****. He's rarely given Non Calzaghe fans the bouts they wanted to see. IMO his showboating is lame/ obnoxious, and he's recently been quoted as speaking negatively about the sport that has given him so much and made him millions. Finally, I doubt he'll take any fight that gets any true fans excited. Of course I always want to see boxing stars fight, but in this situation I wouldn't care if this guy stayed retired. I respect that Calzaghe is a great fighter so I'd appreciate if the flamers stay off the thread. Poll to follow.

No, between recent press releases and lackluster matchups, I don't need to see him in the ring.

Not really, he should retire back to Wales to enjoy his TV career, family and money.

The no option on this poll is worded more negatively than I would have liked. I think it should also be considered an option for those who would prefer him stay retired for whatever reason.

Yeah, if the choice were "No, he has nothing left to prove" I would have answered as such... but I said yes for lack of a better choice haha

Only if he's gonna fight Chad Dawson. I'd watch a B-Hop rematch also.

I dont understand why anyone wouldnt want to see him fight again. Even if you hate the guy. Hes still LHW Champion and there are some good matches to be made. If he retires, thats ok with me but I would definitely be watching if he fought again and Id hope most boxing fans would.

I want to see him come back but only because I want him to lose. I just don't like him for some reason.

How about: No the guy's 37 and has busted hands so has to pitter patter wins and that just gives haters like DrewWoodside more ammunition?

All joking aside, If he fought and beat Dawson as i (and most of NSB according to the last poll taken) think he would, he would get no credit as usual, Dawson's career would be shrouded by the loss and some other poor schmuck would be lined up to fight Calzaghe ad nauseum, Taylor or Froch or some unknown like Dawson was 12 months ago.

It's pointless, he's had a decent career, fantastic by all but ATG standard but at 37 enough is enough, time to go, wait the required years for HoF membership when Daggum can start posting again about how he only fought bums and pensioners.

I like Calzaghe and I think he's good for boxing. He's charismatic, fun to watch (most of the time) and is still in his prime. I'd say Joe has at least two-three great performances left in him and it would be a shame if he stayed retired..
