All joking aside, If he fought and beat Dawson as i (and most of NSB according to the last poll taken) think he would, he would get no credit as usual, Dawson's career would be shrouded by the loss and some other poor schmuck would be lined up to fight Calzaghe ad nauseum, Taylor or Froch or some unknown like Dawson was 12 months ago.

It's pointless, he's had a decent career, fantastic by all but ATG standard but at 37 enough is enough, time to go, wait the required years for HoF membership when Daggum can start posting again about how he only fought bums and pensioners.

I disagree, I think he gets decent credit for Kessler. He'd get more credit for Kessler if Kessler didn't have his career in cruise control. So I think he would definitely get a lot of credit for Dawson.

Who are you referring to? Lacy is and was a bum. It didn't help that he suffered injuries but I think anyone with eyes knows Lacy was limited and ultimately exposed.

My point was that Young fighters tend not to elite fighters.

Young fighters put in with Elite fighters tend to get exposed and called bums.

lol you serious? Man, Joe isnt even all that exciting.. he has lame wannabe roy jones rip off antics and throws punches like a girl.. I can respect that he's been a champion for many years and is undefeated.. he does have some skills.. but he's overrated.. he never really went out of his way to fight a young, prime, elite fighter and thats not going to change if he decides to come back.. I really hope he stays retired
