most of you dont know whats going on in Denmark..
Kessler wants to fight in amerika on HBO, and wants to prove he´s the king of smw.
The problem is that team-palle wants to make this fight with Larsen at Mogens Palle´s 75 years birthday, thats why team-palle is not trying to make any fights for Kessler in usa.
Kessler wants out of his contract with Palle, so he can get the fights he want, so this fight with Larsen is part of Palles´s demands to release Kessler.
Palle is known for ruin the carier of any fighter who want do as he say, so if Kessler wants to get away from his contract with Palle, he has to fight Larsen, its as simple as that!
But the fight with Larsen is not as easy as many of you might think, Kessler and Larsen was training together until Larsen got away from Palle, so they know each other very well. Larsen is not an opponent that Kessler wishes to fight, he´s a very skilled counterpuncher with alot of power. the fact that Larsen was the smw star in Denmark when Kessler was a young rookie, gives Larsen the psykological advantage. Kessler got the fight with Siaca when Larsen got injured, so Larsen wants revenge and has nothing to lose. Larsen was very confident when he was calling out Kessler again and again. So all the pressure is on Kessler.
no matter what it will be the biggest fight in Denmark for many years..

Agreed. This has the potential to be a VERY good fight and considering the political rumors surrounding it, Kessler could always be headed for a letdown. Larsen on the other hand is a guy who has been stuck in a situation without many opportunities to cross over to bigger stuff. If he were an American, fans would applaud a guy like Larsen getting a shot like this. Bitching about this fight shows an ignorance of the fact that not every good, or denied, fighter of quality is on US TV.

This fight is for Denmark what Mundine vs. Green was for Australia. Internationally, it means nothing, but it'll be a huge fight for the Danish audience. As long as Kessler gets to go to the US and fight some of the bigger names after he wipes the floor with Larsen, I'm happy.

Larsen used to be good, he arguably got robbed against Ottke, but since his comeback, he's looked slow and sloppy as hell to me. He's easier to hit (by inferior opponents, mind you), despite his fights being at a very slow pace, he seems winded from the second round, and competely fatigued after 4 or 5. I don't see him lasting long against Kessler's jab and workrate. He's too slow, too easy to hit, and he tires fast. On top of that, he's too cautious to be able to put any kind of pressure on Kessler. If he'd had the balls to go on a real offensive, he could have won without a doubt against Ottke, but he just kept playing it safe. This was when he was younger and better condtioned too. If he doesn't have the guts to risk and offensive against featherfisted Ottke, how is he going to be able to put pressure on Kessler, who is a pretty hard puncher?

Personally I'd rather have seen Larsen fight Bute. If he won a Kessler fight would be interesting outside Denmark too. The Larsen of today is not near the level he was before his comeback. He is even more cautios and his chin is suspect. He is in for a big surprise when he steps in the ring with Kessler (if he does). It'll be a gigantic step up in class.

As for Kessler fighting Johnson well team Johnson offered Kessler the petty sum of ½ million dollars. Palle wanted 2 million. I'm certain that Kessler takes 3-4 million for fighting Larsen in a packed stadium. I'll BE THERE!!
