Actually i had a quick look at who was fighting at super middle over the course of joes career and who held the belts

IBF belt was held by charles brewer, ottke and lacy, Joe beat 2 of them
WBC was held by reid, woodhall, beyer, a few other not very well known up to kessler, joe beat 3 of them
WBA was held by Byron mitchel, ottke, mundine, siaca, kessler, joe beat 2 of them

The only person of note really who he didnt face was ottke and if you believe warren they offered ottke a guaranteed 1 million to fight calzaghe but he turned it down.

That doesnt seem too bad to me, not wow, but i dont think he deserves the stick he gets, he fought the major contenders for super middle then came to the states for some retirement money, fair play to the man

Honestly, I feel bad for Glenn Johnson, but the sympathy for this guy is unbelievable. It's like everyone thinks this guy would've been one of the ATG if it wasn't for boxing politics. Please.

I don't know why he never Calzaghe, but please stop feeling sorry for Glenn Johnson. He's a former lineal LHW champion and has made some decent coin in his career. People seem to forget that he wasn't much of a fighter at SMW either.

Saying Jones is shot is not bashing him.

Get a grip man. I'm a huge Jones fan. I really am. You have no idea. Just tired of him ****ting on his health, his legacy, and creating a legacy for losers like Joe and Tarver because of his stubborn ****ing ego.

At the end of the day we dont really know how good kessler is until he gets off his ass and starts fighting again. We now know lacy was over rated and rjj over the hill, but you have to give him credit for they way he won those fights. Any win over bhop is good (ask pavlik) and as for the rest of the guys i dont really know them that well, but some were multiple time belt holders so i doubt they were all clowns as you say, just not amazing either. Also any win over eubank is decent, he was a tough nut to beat.

A lot of guys had their chance against joe but messed it up. Hes awkward to fight with that style he has. If he was a fraud he would have been found out, but people had their chances and couldnt take them. He made a lot of fighters look ordinary with that style he has.

I'm not discrediting his skills or his style. Never have. or his toughness.

Just his willingness to fight the best and his lies about his career. And his dip**** lying fans.

Bottom line: no credit for the win over jones. Period.

naaa back in the day his ego got in the way but not so much anymore. He's actually in really good shape and health let alone a good state of mind. He's doing really well mentally.

I think him and his dad have come to some kind of peace. I dont know. I've never brought up his dad when talking to him. I ALWAYS bring up Joe Calzaghe. He laughs everytime to cause he knows its coming.... anyway I know your a fan..

Man if you see him train in person you would know hes not shot. Hes getting older but man hes not shot. In his prime he would have killed Joe and that of anyone. Joe fighting jones of 98 and not 2008 would have been "DESTROYED". Frank Warrens not ****** and neither am I.

Like I have said I give Joe and Warren credit for his perfectly timed career.

Jones will continue to fight and other than Dawson i'm not affraid for his health or him getting KO'ed again.
