Why Margarito is bad for Mayweather!

Well I can say the same about Margarito, he has never fought (much less defeated) someone like Mayweather.

They all have differerent pressure (although Oscar is a boxer not a pressure fighter), Hatton is actually a better pressure fighter in cutting off the ring and making you fight, while Margarito is tougher and more relentless. Every fight I always hear about pressure being the way to defeat Mayweather, but I have never looked at it like that (it has also yet to work). I think a fighter needs to be smart and make Floyd fight in a way he is uncomfortable (now I guess pressure fighting would work for this, but I do not think that is the only thing you can bring to the dance and really have a good chance of winning against Floyd), to do this I think you need some verstility to your game, and with Margarito I do not see that.

I again agree with u,but Margarito does not just pressure u,he also punches from angles.He is a very good inside fighter,and he is much bigger than most if not all Mayweather opponents.Castillo was not as big as Margarito and he enjoyed some success,Its like Steward said,"pressure from a tall fighter,is much more than a short fighter!!

To be honest... I think you biased towards Mayweather. I never said it wouldn't be a tough fight for Mayweather... Marg is a very tough fighter, all I am saying is that I think he would simply outbox Marg and win on points.

I am biased towards Floyd. I think he has some of the greatest talents we'll ever see.

However, saying and doing are two different things.


I tend to lean towards the guys who prove their worth in the ring and not at the podium.


130 and 35, you hear no complaints from me about the guy.

Cool, as you would see... I edited the post just before you replied, so you would know that I am not trying to belittle your opinion.

I just think Mayweather is a great fighter... I take nothing from Margarito either though, I just think Floyd could beat him. As for what you say about him facing fighters like Marg and Pac, and maybe Cotto... yeah it probably would be nice, but I don't see any point in him continuing to fight if his heart isn't in it... which it probably isn't.

Either way, both of them are great fighters!

I'll recant my statement when the fight happens.

Until then, Floyd has talked loads of ****, been confronted by one of his possible opponents and thus far, lied directly to that mans face.

Thats what scared people do.

It wasn't his right hand mate it was his left shoulder... I remember him saying he teared his "rotator joint" or something like that in an interview... whatever it was it was something to do with his left shoulder. Either way you were right still he did have an injury.

Mayweather = Too good defensive, accurate, fast to lose to Margarito

I agree with this, but it still wouldn't be easy. If Floyd comes back this is a fight that SHOULD be made. JMO.
