No way, not yet anyways... but Dana invests everything back into growing UFC. He doesn't have the bank that Golden Boy has. For the time being, Golden Boy can't compete but give them 2 years, Golden Boy could very well be the future of MMA promotion... and it makes me sad for my unborn children haha.Comment

LOL at these statement MMA is not growing. If MMA is growing why some orgs like Pride,EliteXC, etc folded? And besides look at the UFC their biggest star is a former WWE champion. The Lesnar-Randy was supposed to be the biggest fight in the UFC's history but they didn't break the record of PPV sales or gate sales for that matter.
They headlined their company with a street brawler, in hopes that he would sell by way of sheer intrigue alone, without the fighting skills.
Pride was bought out by the UFC.
By the way, the Lesnar-Couture fight did not break the record of PPV buys for a single event, but unlike boxing, the UFC does not depend on 1 or 2 megafights a year. Instead, the UFC consistently promotes almost monthly events that are putting up solid numbers.
What signs point to your assumption that MMA is going anywhere but up ?
I don't disagree with Diana White about DLH... but if Diana wants continued credibility... he has GOT to get rid of Lesner as a HW champ! I thought Valuev as a belt holder was a circus act for boxing... but the fact that Lesner has a UFC belt is ten steps backwards for a growing UFC. Shameful Diana... just shameful!
Lesnar was a decorated Division I wrestler and had a record of 106-5...add to that his physical stature, and athletic ability, plus the fact that he crushed then UFC heavyweight champ Randy Couture, and I'd say he's earned his spot at the top for the time being.
Kimbo was a circus act.
I'm not sure if you've seen the numbers, but the UFC outsold boxing PPVs in 2008 at more than a 2-1 ratio. Also, assuming that UFC 92 did more than 500K buys, the UFC will have broken the all time record for most PPV revenue in a year, for any sport.Comment

If you're basing your steroid figures on CSAC numbers, those are highly questionable. They did a total restructuring of their testing apparatus after Garcia resigned. When you have a guy who has Acromegaly get suspended for Baldernone, which would kill him and then have his appeal shot down because he used an IOC lab to prove their test wrong, something is definitely rotten.Comment

honestly im very tired of hearing what dana white has to say.
i've agreed with him a bunch of times on different issues but his main interest in boxing is for the sport to fall apart.
covering him on a boxing news forum gives him too much credibility to boxing fans- whom he'd ultimately like to convert to mma diehards
i love boxing, if dana white cares about this sport then he would promote some boxing matches. if he did that and tried to start some kind of revolution for the sport i would be 100% behind him.
but i think he obviously has alterior motivesComment
