It seems as if a lot of you guys are trying to make a point that boxing is a more tactical sport than MMA.

Freddie Roach himself has said that MMA is a much more complicated sport, simply because of all of the extra factors that you have to take into account, such as elbows, knees, kicks, takedowns, submissions...etc.

    I mean, its pretty obvious.

No doubt, boxing is a tactical and highly strategical battle. But it is one dimensional, in that all you have to worry about essentially is your opponents hands.

This is the correct analogy in my mind.

You are a poster on an internet forum.

Freddie Roach is arguably the best boxing trainer on the planet. I would think his worlds would hold a little more weight than your accusations of him being 'crazy'.

Boxing is the game because the results have meaning. If a mma fighter gets beat does it really matter? In mma you have a bunch of fast ko's all the time in big fights and most all of the big name fighters all have the records of a journeyman in boxing. Its just like a slam dunk contest because it looks good and its exciting but it doesnt really matter.

Boxing is the sport of Kings

MMA is the sport of Queens

                End of thread.

                  Its actually a horrible analogy.

A slam dunk is one kind of way to make points in a basketball game. You can shoot free throws, (jab), hit a jump shot (lead), drive for a layup (hook), slam dunk (uppercut).

MMA is like watching two 5 year olds fighting on a play ground.

Hopkins likens MMA to a bar fight. Hes a pro fighter, are you going to take his word too?
