    My point is this:

Nobody ever held it against Roy that he didnt fight the best Heavyweights although he call himself the best Heavyweight in the world when he was the "Pound for Pound" best in the world. In addition he said would even beat Lenox Lewis,Wlad Klitschko, and Mike Tyson.??????

And yet people still think he is an all time great even though he didnt clean out the heavyweight division and fight the best heavyweights although he called himself the "best heavyweight in the world" and had the belt????

But when it comes to Mayweather, all you hear is if he doesnt fight the best welterweights in the world he is not a all time great...because he called himself the best "Welterweight" in the world when he was P4P best in the world.

    QUESTION:

How would you guys feel and would you be mad if Floyd came back and went back down to the Jr. Welter weight divsion OR Lightweight and fought JMM, Hatton, and Pacquaio?
roy WANTED to fight holyfield, and the fight didnt get made... and i dont know why it didnt, but im willing to bet it had to do with a money split... and yes i think roy beats both of them at HW...

the fights didnt get made... and he fought the best LHW at LHW...

I think were really getting off subject here, we seem to be comparing Roy fighting tarver versus Flody fighting hatton...

I think another big situation your missing as to why Floyd doesnt get his respect.. and im a Floyd fan... but his recent Fight picks lately have been less than impressive...

I think the real difference was... roy came down and fought the #1 guy that HE SHOULD of fought... there was nobody else.. it was Tarver, there wasnt even any other real options in 2003... unless of course he decided to fight Lennox... which, could of very well been suicide... who could blame him?

But Floyd decided to not fight Cotto, or Margarito, two of the biggest threats at his weight class... bigger threats than hatton... and didnt move down to hattons weight class to fight him, but hatton moved up, which hes proved hes to small for ww... he just cant handle those guys up there like floyd can.

and when Floyd retired there were even more threats at welterweight... Paul Williams was on a sharp rise, Andre Berto is coming around the corner... Mosley is still there... and Floyd decided to fight a guy naturally smaller than him... and retire.. and not face all the serious threats in his division.

u see what im sayin tho dom... i know 147 wasnt floyds BEST weight, but he undoubtedly proved eh could fight there and still beat just about everybody...

just like roy with 168 and 175

so its realistic to say floyd avoided threats at 147... his weight class... even though it may not have been his BEST in his entire career... 147 was undoubtedly his weight class at the time he retired

actually I think floyd is probably his best at 140 but he wouldn't be able to get any lower than that. I would not be mad if he moved to 140. Right now he probably only weight about 154 lbs and he's still only 31 years old.

Why Not Corrie Sanders, Chris Byrd, Lenox Lewis, and Holyfield.

Why didnt Fight the best Heavyweights when he had the belt at Hw. and could have??? He came in vs John ruiz at 226 pounds all muscle...!!

I have no doubt he could have been a force in the HW division.
look at what Chris byrd and Holyfield did.

              why didnt Roy do it...?
Roy weighed 226? I thought he was like 198

Thats what I thought I just rewatched the fight like 3 days ago. I was pretty sure I wasnt that high. That proves Roys weight isnt HW he only made it to CW limits.

I think Cotto was the only real guy at the time that could equal Floyd's Tarver. NOW Margarito's name holds a bit more weight with more people due to the win over Cotto. Although he ran through Cintron he didn't look great against Clottey. When Floyd beat Oscar the only fight that would have pleased everyone would have been Cotto. Still there were a lot of people that picked Hatton to win down played Hattons chances afterward.
