My thoughts exactly, Schaefer dosnt know **** when it comes to boxing or nutrition. He even stated that the kangaroo ostretch meat was to blame, now he is just making excuses (even though he said he wasn't, which is a paradox on its own.) protein is protein, it dosnt matter where you get it from be it insects or mammals or shell fish etc.

that statement just proved how little credibility he deserves in the fight game.

Have the excuses really come down to the point to where their blaming the Kangaroo, Ostrich, Whale, Squirrel, Antelope, Buffalo, Dolphin, Giraffe, Ape, Gorilla meat. Now their blaming it on the animals Oscars eating?

Are people really getting that desperate enough to find an excuse for Delahoyas loss.

He got what he asked for, the Mismatch he wanted.

I know why de la hoya doesnt have any energy during that fight and pacquiao was so energetic... Maybe pacquiao eats rice 3 times a day(which is a good source of carbs) and de la hoya just ate those animals(which is to be blame) without any sources of carbs... LOL

Oscar de la Hoya, Angelo Dundee and Nacho Beristain have been too long in the boxing business they knew what weight to achieve and how to maintain it. The 145 lbs Oscar registered at weigh in has been his 'normal' weight in training so it is wrong to say he is dehydrated when he climb the ring at 147 lbs. Oscar took away his size advantage and he did it on purpose. Even if he fought at 160 lbs he still will lose. Just review his fight with Steve Forbes and you'll know why he loses to Manny Pacquiao.

Schaefer would not make excuses and recognized Pacman had made a very impressive job that's why he won, but he pointed out that there's something wrong with ODLH especially with foods intake because he did not gain weight at all after the scaling, and that could be a factor of losing. Take note, he was not making excuses, but my gosh, what is he doing? I mean what are these craps all about.. "not excuses?????" Excuses after exuses is a never ending story from those who could not accept that their favorite giant warrior was been slaughtered by what the majority called him a "midget"! There's nothing new after all, just wondrin' what kind of excuses would surface next.

So what was Pac's weight 7 years ago?

If he had to go back to that weight, do you think it would take an affect?

What was Oscar's fighting weight before he took the Pacquiao fight? 154 lbs. I presume? He went down to just 7 freaking pounds Benny. Manny is a 140 pounder now, if he can make 20-40 million fighting someone 7 pounds south of his fighting weight, he will make the weight, put out another great performance and might probably win again.

                Big difference...

But you have to remember, he said he was having problems making the weight at 147 so that is why he moved up. That was 7 years ago. At 154, he is also said to weigh 164+ by fight time. Each pound off from 154 is like a pound of blood and muscle being pissed down the drain. He basically starved his body.

I wonder what his weigh-in weight was 7 years ago against Gatti.

I would really like to know his complete diet. You can have all the protein you want, you still need Carbs and Fats in your diet if you are an athlete. Protein doesn't work so well without them and neither do your hormones.

Have Pac go back down to 130 right now...see how he feels.

Oscar weighed 147 by fight time compared to {fill in the weight} against Floyd.

Pac was in the 120's seven years ago.

why did oscar fought Forbes at a catch weight of 150?

IMHO even before PAC-ODLH would be made I think Oscar had plans to go back at 147...that was before the miscalculation = PACMAN ...

I think now, weight is an excuse not that he lost to PAC @147 but to fight again at 154...

I think, Oscar if he fights again will still be an EVENT...

I imagine that if Oscar had been his normal self and fought better and still lost to Manny, everyone would notice and realize that Oscar just didn't have it anymore especially at that weight class.

I think it's safe to say he won't try that stunt again any time soon.

A better conclusion to the whole fiasco would be an assessment of Oscar's performance in his next fight if he decides to continue fighting.

If he sucks camel urine, then the guy is damaged goods and should re-think his career as a fighter.
