The way Calzaghe protected himself along with Warren "defending" his WBO Belt is a disgrace.

Calzaghe is the better boxer, but he wasted his talent.

Hatton was had his fair share of over-hyped bouts, but he went Prime v Prime against Mayweather. A World Class opponent.

    Something Calzaghe has never done,

I do not think Hatton is technically as gifted boxer as Calzaghe but atleast Hatton is willing to fight the best out their unlike Calzaghe who has dodged alot of fighters at their peak. The thing that annoys me with Calzaghe is i believe he has/had the ability to beat alot of the big name fighters out there but he stayed in wales fighting bums for 8/9 years, big shame. Hatton made the move to the USA and took on what there was not always looking good but he still churned out the wins. If you think about it Hatton took these risks now he has every fighter within the weight divisions around him wanting a crack at him, he's made loads more money then Calzaghe, much bigger fan base. Their is only one winner here.

in 2002 he fought tackie. tackie was ranked in the top 5 at 140.

in 2003 he fought leija. leija was ranked in the top 10 at 140.

joe fought for a vacant belt for an upstart , not yet major org. the wbo was considered a minor belt for most of the time he was champ.

ricky fought another champion in his next fight.

joe didn't fight another beltholder for 9 years.

ricky jumped up to a higher division to challenge another champ soon afterwards.

it took joe what 'til he was 36? 37?

ricky fought the #1 p4p fighter in the world and is gonna fight another #1 p4p fighter next year.

joe could have done that but he didn't.

            ricky > joe

            yeah very good assessment

ricky is a much better fighter
