If you won't give Pacquiao credit for beating "past prime" fighters, do you give Morales, Barrera and Marquez credit for the following wins:

    Fighters/Age

    Erik Morales

    Carlos Hernandez 33
    Jesus Chavez 32
    Paulie Ayala 32
    Gutty Espadas 29
    Rodney Jones 30
    Kevin Kelley 33
    Wayne McCullough 29
    Daniel Zaragoza Almost 40

    Marco Antonio Barrera

    Robbie Peden 32
    Mzonke Fana 32
    Paulie Ayala 34
Kevin Kelley Almost 36 just before Pac
    Johnny Tapia Almost 36
    Kennedy McKinney 30

    Juan Manuel Marquez

    Marco Barrera 33
    Joel Casamayor 37
    Victor Polo almost 35
    Derrik Gainer 31
    Manuel Medina 32

age as in NUMBER has NOTHING to do with it..the ONE rule that boxing fans should know is u dont use age as an excuse.. if youre a boxing fan u should have better sense then to post peoples ages and use that against me..[nice try though]..what condition a fighter is in, if hes coming off a loss or a win however does..which is why AGAIN i gave manny credit for beating barrera in the first fight..that is the ONLY win i give manny credit for[a barrera in the middle of the erik trilogy]..getting your ass handed to u by past prime weight drained morales and getting your ass kicked by marquez twice and then beating a depleted hoya does NOT make u a great fighter manny did NOT defeat marquez in CONVINCING MANNER..manny is simply overated. he has ONE good win..ONE..

i voted for Erik...last time i checked, Marquez hasn't beat Pac-Man(yes i know many think he won(the second fight), but that doesn't matter).

Aside from the 3 M's and Pacquiao, all of those fighters mentioned were past prime when they got beat. The ages are there just to pound the point home.

For the record. Barrera was 29, Marquez was 29, Morales was 28 when they first fought Pacquiao.

right and when u add all those up u have 7 fights..from those 7 fights he has ONE win i give him credit for..the match with barrera who was in the middle of a erik trilogy..the credit manny gets from this is just plain silly..and yea i understand that youre trying to make a point and your point is certainly understood..absolutely..do u HONESTLY think that manny's wins deserve MORE credit then morales' and barrera's wins against those guys??? u know what..dont even answer that. he's a hyped up fool is what he is and his resume makes the goblin laugh..

So what if it makes the Goblin laugh. Nobody cares about him. But you make me laugh with your ideas.

In those 7 fights, Pacquiao should get more credit because he was up against Mexican Legends levels above those past prime fighters that they beat. In those 7 fights he managed to knock them down a total of 12 times (without being put on the canvas himself), get 3 KO wins and 2 lineal titles in 2 divisions. I'd say that's quite impressive.

excuse me.. theres ABSOLUTELY nothing impressive about getting your ass kicked by a weight drained morales using gloves as an excuse..then facing the same guy who this time is a skinny mummified version with no skin on his bones and then LOSING to that guy ON ALL THREE JUDGES SCORECARDS halfway through the fight..which means morales would kicked pacquiao's ass AGAIN if it wasnt for his gas tank..theres nothing impressive facing him a 3rd damn time but this time he's surrounded by specialists and nutritionists just to make the damn fight possible.. theres NOTHING impressive about getting two seperate asskickings from a 30yr old marquez and then a 34 year old marquez.. theres nothing impressive about beating a barerra in the middle of an erik trilogy and then facing him AGAIN but this he's there to collect a pay cheque..theres nothing impressive about fighting diaz who got a home town decision against a shot morales and theres NOT A DAMN THING IMPRESSIVE about beating a depleted hoya..manny's resume MAKES THE GOBLIN [representive of the goblin kingdom] SIMPLY ****EN LAUGH... manny is a joke

Just wondering... why do Floyd's fans (like the threadstarter here) needs to demean other fighters accomplishment to further Floyd's cause as the best fighter ever? I mean, isn't it a load of?

That marquez won 75% of the rounds of both fights or just one of them? im not sure but anyways pacfans dont spew your bullcrap here tryin to change
the subject/topic that manny won either fights or whatever..facts are facts and the fact that a **** load of people thought that marquez won the 1st fight or the 2nd..so i'll ask again...WHO GAVE MANNY A MORE CONVINCING ASS KICKING???? Marquez or Morales??
                    1. JMM never beat Pac. both fights were close but no, he never beat him
                    2. Morales won the first fight but no way it was one sided. I was a clear but close decision
                    3. Morales got his ass whooped on the second fight. He quit on his ass the third fight. just so you know
                    4. Why do you hate on pac? can't see any reason to hate the little ****er.

                      2. that fight seems to be erased from all pacfans memory
