He ain't no joke! A little unproven, maybe, but a joke? No way! He's a very good boxer, but I'm not sure he's ready to mix it up with elite level competition at this point in in his career.

I can't seem to STFU about it, but Dawson should rematch Johnson and beat him more convincingly. Until then, I don't think he's earned a shot at JC.

Dawson is the one with things to prove. Calzaghe doesn't need to prove anything, but if he beat Dawson, he'd shut a lot of mouths and couldn't really be doubted at all. Or am I fooling myself? What an ignorant statement! I may jokingly make of Calzaghe's style but anyone can see he has earned his placed in the sport of boxing. What people don't seem to grasp is that "Yanks" are not the only ones that hate on Calzaghe. Brits do it,Canadians,Australians,Mexicans, and every other ethnicity and nationality. Just because Calzaghe doesn't get the credit he deserves don't take it out on Americans. Sure,some are disrespectful to Joe for no reason other than his location but the same can be said for Brits with American fighters. You shouldn't take this board as a measure for anything when there are too many ALts and little kids typing the first thing that comes to their mind.

Lacy beat bums and lost to bums before and after Calzaghe so that proves he is, was and will always be an overrated fighter and Calzaghe has nothing to do with Lacy's poor efforts after his lose to him. Lacy fought just the same afterward and maybe even with more vigor because he had so much more to prove after his lose to calzaghe.

And if you are comparing Dawson to Lacy than you don't know anything about boxing. Dawson is an incredible boxer with tremendous skill while Lacy was just a one trick pony who only had a sick left hook and nothing else.
