Again are you really ok with fighters dying all so a handful of posters on a message board can sleep better at night?
It is still unfair. You seem alright with bending the rules even though they were created for a reason.

And no, I am never alright with a fighter dying. But I am not forcing him to put himself in jeopardy, am I? What don't you understand about the concept of, if you can't safely make weight, move up?

Saying oh my WW fighter is now 15 lbs heavier than yours and at MW, but it's ok because we think he's worked harder, is completely laughable and makes one really question your motives and judgement.
      Exactly. Good post Kris.

I think Same day weigh ins need to be enforce to stop the problem of fighters milking the lower weight divisions

I see a lot of guys I don't usually agree with about certain fighters, but we're on the same page concerning this subject. I think that says a lot on were true boxing fans stand on this subject.

I honestly am against bringing back same day weigh ins, it increases the risk of fighters getting a severe injury, I can understand why some people want same day weigh ins to come back but I don't want to see a fighter get hurt in there, same day weigh ins make it more likely for that to happen.

But who's fault is that, my friend? If a guy isn't playing russian roulette with his own body, its not nearly as likely to happen. No?

Of course it's the fighter's fault but the rules now prevent them from suffering what could be horrible consequences, I'm fine with the way things are now, safety is first.

If the rule is weigh 147 at the weigh in how is it bending the rules no matter what you weigh the day after?

And yes you are forcing a fighter to put himself in Jepordy because this is his livelyhood. He's gonna do what he has to do to make money to feed his family and I'm not talking about guys like Margarito or Williams. They generate ton's of money for their promoters so you bet their ass if the rule was changed back to same day weigh in's they wouldn't be effected by it because they would just hire Nutritionists and weight trainers to monitor their diets so they could make the weight naturally.

The fighters that would be effected would be the small time fighters. The guys who fight for 8,000$ not 8 million$. They would be the ones dying because they can't afford the trainers or nutritionists and would still boil down in weight to either go after bigger paydays or biggerfights. Unless you are gonna change the way Society worships money your argument is flawed.

As usual another so called Boxing fan could give a **** about the small time fighter who fights just to eeek out a Middleclass living.

Ok. But what about the safety of the fighter who is outweighed 20lbs come fight time? Isn't this the reason there are weight classes to begin with?
