I would love to see an exciting fight, but...

There is literally 0 profit for Mayweather with being aggressive and trying to land hard punches on Margarito...

That generally wouldn't make sense with anyone else in the sport, but Margarito's chin is so good that he doesn't even stop throwing punches when he gets hit. Getting hurt is the farthest thing away from possibility with Margarito's chin.
We've seen Floyd box people's heads off. Floyd is a HOFer with not much less to prove. Lets see him ****ing please the fans for once. If he beat Margarito like he beat Corley or Hatton I'd be impressed. Of course he won't be able to KO Tony, but if he could beat Tony in a brawl it'd be amazing. He is beautiful to watch and I'd love to see these two fight, but outboxing Tony in a Baldomiresque performance proves **** all to me.
are you crazy?? what WW or JMW for that matter besides maybe pwill can brawl with margs? he would outbox him of course

Even Williams said after the fight that his team didn't want him to stand stationary for more than a little bit because going toe to toe with Tony is not a good idea for extended periods. He was quite successful using lateral movement to offset Margarito's offense early on but once he got tired Margarito was able to get to him with big shots later in the fight. Fortunately Williams has a great chin.

Clottey mentioned from the hospital how hitting Margarito was like punching a brick wall. Mayweather would have to be dumber than Mayorga to stand and trade with Margarito. Imagine if Floyd loaded up and broke his hands early in the fight.

Well if floyd signed a contract to fight margarito tomorrow i wouldnt be ignorant enough (not even for a millisecond) to think floyd would fight margarito toe to toe.

ANY fighter who can fight someone like margarito withOUT having to go toe to toe should definately use their alternative methods...

it would be something like ali's rope-a-dope...just a jazzed up 2009 version (obviously floyd wouldnt lay on the ropes but you know what i mean).

he's primary goal should be to engage margarito as least as possible...tag margarito coming in and going out...keep margarito away with a good jab and solid defense...

he shouldnt stand there and let his hands go with margarito it would be a fight he couldnt win if he used that strategy.

So of couse i'd give him credit if he didnt engage him...

if he DID engage him i'd be torn between giving him credit (for showing the heart) but would also laugh at the fact someone as smart as him would be ignorant enough to try it in the first place.

so yeah i'd give mayweather credit for fighting margarito, cotto, pacman, etc...as long as its a PRIME fighter who has SKILL.

Floyd will get my respect just for stepping in the ring with Margo. I won't be holding my breath on seeing it though. It's obvious Floyd doesn't want to go anywhere near a true top Welter. Fair enough he's a small guy, but I don't want to hear him say he beat the best at 147 again.

I don't care if he literally ran around the ring, I'd be impressed with a Floyd victory over Margarito.

I would be impressed if he would fight Tony let alone beat him. It doesnt matter how he does it, but if he wins, I will take back all the negative **** I said about him.

Good feedback. Sound like not too many people will would be sour at the outcome like the Baldomir fight. Beating Tony is Beating Tony I guess.
