Trinidad vs. De la Hoya 2 never happened because they could never reach an agreement on the split. Boxing is a business, and usually the bigger name brings the most fans, hence that fighter gets the most money.

Trinidad felt since he had won he deserved a larger split of the pay, Oscar felt he was the bigger draw so he deserved a larger split. Thus the fight never happened. Then later on in their careers, weight became an issue. Oscar was never a legit middleweight, so he didn't want to have the fight in that class, Tito didn't want to go back down in weight.

I don't know what JuanMa is doing criticizing, thanks to Oscar vs. Pacman he is going to get a chance to shine in front of a lot of viewers and hopefully get him some more fans.

Juanma is being real, he dont kiss ass just because he is on the undercard. Thats being a sincer person. And besides thats how most people feel about the fight. Oscar have done great for the sport but at dispoint if he doesnt fight people his own size, he is just doing bad for the sport. He just for the money now, wich is ok, but not for the sport!!!!!!!!!

It was a lose-lose fight for Trinidad.
DLH never wanted to see Tito again.

                Never.

I agree with JuanMa. But at what weight. Trinidad has problems getting to 160 let alone 154 or 147. De La Hoya is still a top Jr. Middleweight and Welterweight.

It might be true what he is saying, but if he was really against it, he wouldn't be fighting on the undercard. If he's against it, make a stand and say "I won't be a part of that circus" or something along those lines. But he's there, he's there because Top Rank knows it's good exposure for him and JuanMa knows this also.

I personally don't think Pacman vs. Oscar is a bad fight for the sport. I would rather he fought someone else, but I don't think it's bad for boxing. Boxing is in need of more fans, and Oscar brings casual fans to the table. Those fans may decide to stick around for other fighters. I look at it like the Nintendo Wii. The so called "hardcore gamers" hate the system, but it's selling like crazy meaning it's bringing in new people who previously didn't game. It's making video games more accessible, more mainstream. That helps out the video game industry.
Same thing for boxing. If this fight can create interest and bring in people that don't care much for the sport, then it helps out boxing.
