Must be Cotto fans trying to feel better because of the Margarito/ Cotto fight which still has that bad taste in their mouths.

Dude I will admit Trinidad was an awesome boxer in his prime and an ATG in my book but his fight against Jones was awful, not the killing machine that I used to see @ welter. Juan Manuel is only saying this **** cause he's buttbuddies with Trinidad & a paisa.

Trinidad couldn't even make 170 for his fight with roy jones. How the hell is he gonna make 154 let alone 147 to try and get a fight with dlh. Dlh should have fought margarito, its that simple.

after knocking out juan ponce de leon, juanma is talking nonsense. how in hell he want delahoya to fight trinidad when trinidad is no longer a commodity. trinidad looks like a clown than a boxer today.

more than that, delahoya has nothing to prove against trinidad because in their fight a decade ago, delahoya won that fight but not for the blind judges.

i was a trinidad fan then and i even bet my money for him.

i won a few hundred bucks for that fight but i was not convinced with the outcome. delahoya dominated trinidad from round 1 to round 10 and backpedalled only in the 11 and 12 rounds, probably to protect his lead but the two blind judges saw trinidad winning.

that's water under the bridge. juanma should learned some history. but i will not be surprised if he share the same opinion with the myopic judges.

              I agree!

Many others share the same reasoning Juan Ma shares. I do find the DE La Hoya Vs. Trinidad fight more likeable than Pac Vs De La Hoya. Reason being, both De La Hoya and Trinidad have seen better days ,but both can still compete at a high enough level to make an exciting fight. However, the bout will only look good at 147 or 154. Any higher the love handles will make me throw up my buffalo wings. De La Hoya by Decision over Trinidad.

It was a lose-lose fight for Trinidad.

True it was a "lose - lose fight" for Tito, but i believe it would have been a better fight "for boxing" simply cause Oscar did prove that Tito's power did caused his confidence to drop during their first fight. Thus... is why he elected to LITERALLY GIVE Tito the fight by RUNNING LIKE his last name was BOLT!
That fact alone would have made that fight much more relevant oppose to the one we have coming up this Saturday.

i dont know why people are so negative talking about this dude. from a business perspective, it was kinda ****** for him to say that because oscar is the boss. but he is saying what a lot of people wanna say but just dont say it.

im sure hes not the only one that feels that this fight is joke. the only reason why i think is a joke is because i dont see what can oscar gain by beating pacquaio. DLH is a very proud boxer, he has acclomplished a lot in the sport, he has fought damn near everybody, even though he lost most of his big fights he still kept facing tough fighters.

but think about it in every possible scenerio.

if oscar wins by decision--its a win for manny for going 12 rounds with a bigger man.

if oscar wins by knockout--this is what damn near everybody is predicting,so oscar gains no credit for something hes suppose to do

if manny wins by decision or knockout--it will be the biggest upset in recent history, not as big as douglass beating tyson but preety huge. if this happens, oscar might say hes calling it quits but who knows with him,he never stays retired for more than a year.

the winner will most likely face ricky hatton in his hometown for a even bigger megafight. thats why im pulling for manny in this one, because a fight between him and hatton will be electrifying. if oscar faces hatton, it will be the same **** all over again, people will be saying hes fighting just another small fighter

When have I ever said he isn't??? If Trinidad is so rich then he should stay retired and quit looking like a dumbass in his return fights. Hoya already fought the best, he doesn't have **** to prove.
