Exactly, Morales was past his prime for the second fight but not shot, he was more weight drained than anything, he didn't fight like a shot fighter in the first half of that fight, the second half looked more like the affects of draining himself to make weight, and Raheem's style would have given him problems at any point in his career.

He was definitely shot in the third fight.

That fight was in no way, shape or form close enough for me not to believe that there was something wrong with Erik Morales.
Its a bad match up, Raheem was running away. When Freitas fought and beat Raheem, Acelino was critized for his performance. But it was Raheem who made the fight look bad.

I always saw it that way. Although past-prime, it was still a pretty damn good version of Erik that Pac beat in the rematch though. The third fight was simply one of those fights where you finally see clear as day that a fighter is done.

I don't really count the loss to Raheem against Pacqauio. Obviously, he got embarrassed by Zahir and looked terrible.

But honestly, I attribute that almost as much to styles as I do with how unmotivated Morales was.

I also thought the Morales/Pac rematch version of Erik was a little slower and almost underestimated Pac to do the exact same. Obviously he didn't and fought one of the first complete fights I'd ever seen Manny fight.

I never even wanted to see the rematch to be honest. Manny would come stronger and Erik's hourglass was slowly slipping away.

Erik has been past it.. A prime Erik beats Manny. Even a half shot Erik beat Manny the first time.

Naw, I can't go that far. I think it could have been one of those 50/50 things with both fighters splitting fights, in their primes of course.

And who is that in your avy? Nice!

Morales was completely shot in the third fight. There's not point even going into it. You can visually tell. It's pretty obvious actually.
