I thought about it really hard, and determined that Cotto's punching power at 147 is overrated.

He loaded up 100% on that Quintana body shot, which any fighter could do with that open look IMO.

He didn't really hurt Urkal badly.

He buzzed Judah a couple of times, but Judah is not known for a good chin.

He didn't ever really hurt Mosley too badly.

Gomez was hurt a few times, but... he's Gomez.

Obviously he didn't hurt Margarito at all.

That said, he still punches harder than Floyd. I'm just saying, I think Cintron's power as a benchmark for Margarito's chin is more appropriate than Cotto's.

Throw Tszyu, Cotto, and Margarito out the window. Floyd beat Hatton so he must be the greatest of all time. Sorry, Dios, I cannot make that extraordinary leap of logic.

No I am Saying you are being hypocrite and dishonest and when you say Mayweather has fought Anybody..and Ducking the whole sport..And he isnt a great fighter, etc....

Listen, I dont think Mayweather is the greatest of All time...Butwhat I do know is..He is a Great Fighter, He is the Greatest of His Generation, and he is certified Hall of Famer...

My Problem with you is, you demanding that Mayweather should fight
fighter "x,y,z" too basically live up too your standards... Just After Mayweather beat the fighter who you thought was the 3RD GREATEST fighter in the world...

Higher than what you have Cotto or Margarito right now... is ridiculous because if he hasnt prove to you he is a great fighter after he beat somebody you thought was the 3rd greatest fighting in all of boxing...He will never get your respect..

I can't remember if you said Castillo wasn't shot... I think you did say that, not sure though.
Because I was on the Hatton bandwagon. I still like Ricky. He's pugnacious and will fight anybody. I admire that in a fighter. But, I have to concede that his best fighting weight is clearly Jr.WW. Legitimate WWs are too big for him, IMO. For instance, I would be genuinely afraid for his physical health if he were to take on Margarito at WW.

Any fighter moving up from 140 to fight Margarito should be jailed for attempted suicide.

Idk, I just find it harder to believe what you say than most because of how highly you ranked Hatton, and now give Floyd nearly 0 credit for the win.

I don't even really care, I don't think the fight will ever happen, and I want Floyd to stay retired if that is the case.

Maybe so, but Cotto is the latest and surely the most famous example of Margarito's granite chin. It's pretty simple math to me. If Cotto can't hurt Margarito, then Mayweather can't either.

                Clearly that is the case.

He loaded up 100% on the KO punch on Hatton... when I saw it in slo-mo, he really reached back before he threw... I am not surprised Hatton was out of it after that.

Cotto is more heavy-handed than Mayweather at 147, end of story.

In reality if this great fight is ever made the last thing on PBF's mind will be trying to hurt Margarito. If he loads up the shots and ends up breaking his fragile hands he could be in a world of trouble against someone like Tony.
