it's funny how all these people are absolutely convinced mayweather would beat margs yet mayweather obviously wasnt so confident that's why he retired... and if he ever does come back it will be against someone he knows he can beat like hatton or pac.

I'm disgusted that he retired, when he obviously still did have so much to give, but...

Honestly, I don't think it was fear or anything like that that made him retire.

It just really did seem like he stopped caring about the sport about the time he fought at 135. He went to 140 to make a PPV name. He went after the biggest money at 147, and THEN, he just fought the guys who weren't even in his weight class who brought the biggest check.

He talked about his body breaking down on Mayweather/Hatton 24/7, and multiple retirement attempts give me the feeling that he just doesn't care or like the sport anymore.

That was the most impressive thing anybody has done in WW in a long time. If Mayweather doesn't come out of hiding to finally take on Margarito, then he will confirm his ducking pedigree. Floyd would look like Jesus against a slow motion, wide fighter like Margarito. People forget, Cotto hit him non stop for like 6 rounds. All FLoyd has to do is not load up and have good stamina.
