I thought it was great to see, and it should be done more often.

Paulie was taking a beating, had not won a round since the first, and showed no signs of discouraging Hatton.

It could have only got worse for Paulie.

Boxing needs more of that type of act....well done Buddy McGirt!

There was little left for him in the fight therefore yes. What purpose would have been served other than allowing him to be hit more often for the same result?

There will be other fights so.....

What were the chances of Paulie ko'ing Hatton? Virtually nil. It was obviously a pride thing.

**** NO! It was the 11th round, fight was almost over. Paullie wasnt in any serious trouble the guys a surviver this wasnt Zag vs Lacy it was a beating alright but not a sick and brutall one.

ALL Paullie had left was his pride and the fact that he'd went the distance with two of the most destructive 140lb fighters of his generation and that he had NEVER been stopped - Buddy took that from him.

And not out of compassion either, Buddy was pissed and disgusted, he has dropped in my estimations.

Plus im pissed coz my coupon at the bookies was on course (Hatton on points) and he ****ed it!!!

When your guy is takin a beatin and has no chance of gettin a KO, the fight is essentially over with. McGirt's decision was OK imo.
