Whoever voted "Yes" should stop being fans of fights and fighters.

The ref didn't think it needed to be stopped and neither did Paulie.

He could of survived until the finally bell and he wasn't allowed.

I want to know how many Americans voted for this **** "YES" and how may Europeans as well.

Paulie was done, since the 4th round. He could have ended up seriously damaged. He wasn't defending himself, and he looked like he downright quit trying to win after he got rocked in the 2nd round. It's good that he cares enough to save his fighter, when we've seen some guys get beat worse than a punching bag without their corner doing anything about it.

            I voted No!!

It was a Championship fight and there was only 2 rounds left. Paulie was right he was being beaten and outboxed but he was better than being stopped! Brian Vera took a hell of a lot more punishment earlier that night! Mcgirt was a d*ck for stopping it and if I was Paulie I would change trainers because that was ridiculous!! I'm glad Hatton gets a TKO win though but feel sorry for Malignaggi, he should've been allowed the pride of at least finishing the fight!

i voted yes and I'm a fan of "fights". What I watched last night was not a fight. Buddy did the right thing.

People can talk all they want about Paulies pride being hurt, but with no chance of winning the fight, throwing nothing and taking a solid beating, his trainer was right to throw in the towel.

The only thing I find weird is that his trainer did not throw in the towel vs Cotto.

Overall it was a good stoppage. One punch can end a fighters life, so there is no need to let a fighter get beaten up for the sake of his pride. How proud would he be if he was blind or in a wheelchair?
