I think it was disgust at Paulie's performance. He was pissed off that Paulie had nothing for Hatton, i dont think he was worried about the beating he was getting, Paulie said himself that he got worse from Cotto.

He shut have been allowed to continue

I don't think he should have stopped it.

Paulie wasn't doing what Buddy told him to do. Maybe it was payback.

I think the stoppage wasnt needed.

Paulie was in NO danger...they were actually in a clinch when buddy got up to call it off...and they werent in a clinch because paulie was hurt...

he had been hurt earlier in the fight a good 3 times or so...

but with only 5 minutes left and the pace the fight was slowing down to paulie could have easily made it all 12 rounds and i think when you wait THAT LONG in the fight to call it off it should ONLY happen if your fighter is in danger and paulie wasnt.

I personally (if i was in his corner) would have let him finish unless something changed to where he could get hurt.

Surely he could always get hurt though, that's some what of an oxymoron?

Did u notice when Paulie came out for that last round he looked totally uninterested? He moved backwards and tried to avoid getting hit without throwing anything back for about 20secs, practically running. Buddy told him before the round started that he wanted to see something or he was going to pull him out, then when they finally came together Buddy through the towel in....Maybe he thought Paulie wanted out..I still believe it was a bad stoppage but watching it again u can see Buddy might have had a case.

Yeah he did give him an ultimatum, I think Paulie's reaction told the most accurate story.

I guess maybe he said it to get something from him, he didn't and you aren't going to respect your coach if he doesn't stick to his word?
