There aren't many fights around where he could get a better offer.

Pop quiz hot shot.
Margarito
Williams
Cotto
Clottey
Cintron
Out of those five guys,
which fighter is the one who faced 4 names on that list?

Mosley doesn't need Margarito, And it's funny you say Margarito has a point because this is the same thing he was trashing Floyd for now he's chasing the money.
His last fight at the Home Depot Center in Carson was more empty than filled. An 8,000 seat tennis arena was over half empty. Carson is barely an hour away from Pomona, Mosleys hometown.
Even two bantams filled up that same stadium in March.
and they're from Mexico.

And lets not even mention margarito fought someone no one knew at the time and still to this date isn't a big draw in williams and sold the place out over a year ago when margarito wasn't as big as he is now. You throw logic and facts to these haters and they come back with biased hate and prove nothing in process but show what level of intillegence you're arguing with.
Like this,
"Margarito is ducking Williams and Clottey".
Or, "I just **** on Joe Calzaghe two weeks ago for fighting and beating an over the hill fighter in his late 30s, but imo, Margarito is clearly afraid of 37 year old Shane Mosley.

I just don't see how turning this fight down is a better alternative than being idle till the Cotto rematch.
I understand why he's doing what he's doing, but I really don't think it's good for his career to turn down this fight.
Swallow your pride, make $2 mill, and put a very good name on your resume or turn the fight down after you talked ****, and just do nothing until June? It just doesn't make sense to me.
He has more to lose, because this puts a blemish on his image. And then if he loses to Cotto? That will be disastrous for his career. I don't think he's scared or anything, I just think it was a poor business decision.
