So, its ok for Paul Williams to rematch guys he beat, but not ok for Tony?

Explain that logic please because I'm feeling just a bit dumber for reading that.

Williams rematched a dude who BEAT him. And he knocked him out in the first round. Margarito is chasing dudes he beat DECISIVELY. He STOPPED both men. NOBODY is saying the fights with Cintron or Cotto were even remotely close. The smart margarito fan would say "Tony is making a bad business choice". ANYBODY can see that. But to defend his actions past that point is purely irrational.

Cotto, Clottey, and Mayweather have YET to make a BUSINESS decision that will cause them to make LESS money in all future fights than the ones presently offered to them.

You tell me honestly if you believe Margarito is going to get more than $2 million for a rematch with Cotto? And if not, who is he going to make a boatload of money fighting that is going to realistically fight him? Him getting a fight against a Golden Boy fighters is nixxed forever. What other fighter at 147 is going to make him more than $2 million?

Dude, you are making all sorts of irrational arguments. What Mayweather did and what Margarito did are worlds apart. Mayweathers business decisions, no matter how *****-made they made him look, made him the HIGHEST PAID ATHLETE in 2007. Like him or not (and I am no Mayweather fan), he made more money then Puff Daddy in 2007. Margarito on the other hand has made only $1.3 million dollars in 2008 and will probably be paid the same in the rematch. He has passed on 2 fights that would have made him $6million. It doesnt take a Phd to see this has nothing to do with good business. this isnt about business or get back at GBP. Margarito aint taking no money out of Oscars pocket or Shanes pocket. HBO STILL is offering $4 million for the January date so the money Margarito passed on, another fighter will get.

margarito is calling himself tha man at WW, as is many ppl? paul williams feels HE should get the respect of being called THE WW, cuz he beat margarito in a CLOSE fight. so, if margarito thinks he's the man, and PW thinks he has rightful claim to the WW throne, it makes absolute sense for that fight to take place, as its a clear consensus THAT THEY ARE THE TOP 2 WW right now.....which order? thats what the fight is for.....

Even though I do want to see a fight against Williams again more than anything. I do understand that it involves Arum working with another promoter and it makes it more complicated than Cotto/Clottey.
