The difference is, although Mayweather looked like a str8 beeyotch, his business decisions were SMART. He took an EASIER fight in Baldomir for more than a Margarito fight would have paid, made a boatload of money fighting Oscar, and a boatload of money fighting Hatton. If Mayweather would have fought for anything less than $8 million after the Margarito offer, he would have looked like a bytch and a ****ty businessman. He made more money so he is only a bytch, but you cant compare what Mayweather did to what margarito is doing.

Again, I've said NUMEROUS times I'd like to see both of those rematches.

I don't care about the money issues, never have, never will. Yes, it is strange he hasn't taken a fight, but he has fought everyone people have asked him to.

The fact remains, its impossible to duck someone you already fought.

Now throw in someone like Mayweather who refused to fight any top welter, that is what you call "ducking". And spare me the "he woulda did this and that", because he didn't.

Margarito has already took those guys as opponents.

Williams was his mandatory for over a year, and Arum lowballed him with a $900k offer to fight Cotto while Goosen won the purse bid and offered him $1.6 to fight Williams. Top Rank had NOTHING to do with that promotion. Arum made NO MONEY off that fight. Top that off with the WBO rejecting his petition for the non-title fight and unification with Cotto before he fought Williams, and them stripping him of the title, and you will see Margarito wasnt willing to fight Williams until backed into a corner by the WBO and Arums cheap ass.

Im sure Margarito did this to piss off GBP. He calls Mosley out, gets Mosley excited about the fight, then just pulls out. Similar to what ODLH did to him by saying he would fight the winner of Cotto-Margarito then pulling out. Still makes him look like a hypocrite though. I dont want to hear any more crap about "the most feared man", or complaining about "I can't get anyone to fight me". I always thought it was crap anyway, the two biggest guys that look more like natural middleweights(Williams and Margarito) claiming to be the most feared and avoided boxers because they can't get smaller welterweights to fight them. The whole "if you can make 147 then your a welterweight" defense is crap, in that case stop crying about ODLH-Pac, they are both weighing in at 147. Either way people were buying into the "most feared man" bit, you just ruined your main selling point Tony.

GOOD POST, BUT... this 0ne goes second in all times "I am dumb for not taking the easy millions..." Everybody takes easy money by beating a boxer past his prime at some point of their careers. I remember all the commentators on tv talking **** about him for not fighting the best when he was champ. So what did Mayweather do........ he retired. And i don't see Mosley on Margarito's list. I watch it to see fights of course. And right now Margarito aint being a fighter. He is being a businessman and he is looking cowardly in doing so. Nobody who is a fan of Margarito wants to call what he is doing cowardly, but put another fighters face on his and it would fly off your tongue before you know it. Margarito fought Cintron because he was easy pickings. He fought Clottey because he was a stablemate and thats how Arum likes to control things. He fought Williams because he was practically forced to in order to keep his title and make another $600k more than what Arum was offering. He fought Cintron again cause he was easy pickins and he fought Cotto cause again, it was a fight Arum would make all the promotional money. If Cotto was a Don King or GBP fighter that fight would have NEVER happened. Margarito aint the warrior his fans are making him out to be and right now he is looking more like a coward than he is a bad businessman.

If HBO is offering $4 million for the fight and Shane, who has a bigger name and better resume than Margarito agreed to all of Margarito's terms, why is he walking away from the fight?

this **** right here is what I am talking about. A LOT of fighters get in the ring scared ****less of the man standing across from him. Every seen the pre-prison Mike Tyson fights? Did you think there was no reluctance of Micheal Spinks to get in the ring with Tyson?

The fact is, events leading up to the Margarito/Williams fight all pointed out the fact that Tony was doing EVERYTHING he possibly could to avoid facing Williams. It wasnt until he was threatened to be stripped of his title and had a fight on the table that paid him $600k less that he decided to take that fight. And I am willing to bet he will never fight for a title in an organization where Williams is highly ranked.
