First of all Collazo got robbed. And second people are bashing Margarito because he doesnt have other option that fight shane. He either fight Mosley or wait for Cotto in June. Because Williams is fighting Phillips and Cotto is fighting Jennings, so the rematch wont come earlier. And even though a Clottey fight would be interesting theres not that much money there. And besides 2Mill are not bad for a non PPv fight, and besides Margarito is not that big of a draw. Shane still a bigger draw than Margarito.He just should take the fight with shane make money,, stay busy and add a big name to hes resume and then get the big payday in june agaisnt Cotto. And depending on what happend against Cotto, he could fight whoever is available.

Now if Cotto beat Shane and Marg STOPPED cotto, why should Margo exceot an offer of 1.2 million less? also w/out the fight being on PPV?

doesnt matter luis collazo was offered 2million to fight shane even though he lost a UD AND GOT KNOCKED ON HIS ASS against a JR WW. Now they want to turn around and offer margarito 2million what a ***en joke. HBO is a disgrace with the GBP business partners. GBP is slowly destroying boxing so much to the point that when i hear people say boxing is dying i don't even defend it, because it's true and the promoters and hbo are at fault.

Look margarito is not a big Draw. Thats why the fight is a non PPV. The same thing happend with Calzaghe vs Hopkins, Calzaghe was not well known in the US, so they didnt risk it, and put it on regual HBO. And for the fCotto-Margarito fight I think cotto got near 6 mill with PPV revenues and all and Margo around 3.5mill.

Ummmm, because it says it in the article that he said no. He didn't report to any source that negotiations are ongoing. The fight is off, hence he said no. I think he should fight him but definitely demand more money. Point being, no to Williams, no to Shane - who is he gonna fight now?
