Dude are SPECULATING. Margarito received NO PPV REVENUE for that fight. You are saying whatever you can to smooth over what he did but I was dead on when I said he wasnt even being paid $2 million for the fight. Seems I DO know a little more then you would like to give me credit for. And this isnt about him sticking it to Golden Boy for wha Oscar did. This is his livelyhood and not some game of getback. Margarito knew he couldnt justify fighting anyone for less than what a Williams fight was paying.

My prediction? He will be offered $1.5 to fight in a rematch with Cotto. Outside of Williams and Oscar, there is NO FIGHT out there where Margarito will make more than $2 million. Not Cotto, Clottey, Judah, Betro, NOBODY. A move up to 154 wont get him that much cause there is nobody that can draw interest in that division besides Winky Wright. And Arum turned down a fight with Winky at 154 when Winky said he would fight him for half of what they were offering Floyd. This move is a CAREER ENDER for Margarito as far as making big money is concerned. He will NEVER get a fight with Oscar now.

Margarito took the fight for that money on the promise from Arum he would receive big bucks in future fights IF he won (which Arum didnt anticipate). Trust me. I dont care where you claim you read it. Margarito received NO PPV REVENUE or money off the gate. You can research it all day long and you wont be able to produce one article that says he made more than $1.3 for fighting Cotto. That was his purse and thats all he made. His biggest payday to date is the $1.6 million he made for facing Williams. Arum doesnt give a **** about Margarito. Trust and believe that. Arum lowballed Margarito the first time for the Cotto ($900k)fight because his contract was up, Arum was sure Cotto would win, and Margarito would jump ship after fighting for Top Rank and never receiving any money. THATS why Margarito fought Williams. Had nothing to do with pride, the WBO belt, Williams calling him out, nothing. It's because Arum LOWBALLED him and he had an optional fight not under Top Ranks banner. Now he has re-upped with Arum and Arum is STILL paying him peanuts.
