          Despite subsequent achievements, he was never the fighter he was prior to that Roy Jones loss. I think it scarred him mentally and he was never the same.

          He wasted his talent on good living and food (the bane of many a good fighter) and thus cannot be considered among the greats, IMO.

                i agree his career virtually ended after the Jones fight he was never the same again the only notable wins he had after Jones was Jirov and a shot Holyfield

                  The Jirov fight was incredible though. Well it looks like based on these early polls that boxingscene.com does think James Toney is an all time great.

                    it was a very good fight but it was NO Barrera v Morales 1

                    actually i think Holyfield v Dokes was a far better fight aswell
