Does anyone actually still believe Lacy was a good win for slappy boy?

Same Calzaghe who was preparing for another fighter entirely only 11 days before.

Same Eubank who was only 31 and by no means OLD.

Same Calzaghe who was 25, still green, and only on his 23rd pro fight. This was a MASSIVE win for Joe at that point in his career.

Same Eubank with 45 fights under his belt and more professional experience.

Same Eubank who fought at SMW as early as 1991 or 92. Big deal if he moved up to 175 ONCE before fighting Calzaghe? The difference in weight from 168 is barely worth mentioning. How is that weight drained?

Calzaghe was preparing for another fight at 168 NOT 175

Eubank was 31 but way past his prime, age doesn't determine if you are in your prime or not.

So what Eubank had 45 he was still weight drained and past his prime

How was he weight drained?? He entered a 2 week weight draining regime just to make the weight, how is that not weight drained.

And here, ladies and gents, we have the perfect illustration of why fighting Dawson (or Pavlik, or the next flavour-of-the-month after Dawson, whoever he might be) would, money aside, be utterly pointless for Calzaghe. Sure, one might actually turn out to be an ATG, but unless Calzaghe has a crystal ball to find him the odds are pretty low.

By your own admission, you know very little about Eubank.

It was routine for him to lose a lot of weight in the build-up to a fight. He did it for years.

Ottke was a very good AM and beat some excellent fighters at that level. Although he won a title early in his pro career, he was already in his 30s by that time.
