It was a solid win over an undefeated titlist.

Lacy may not have been anything special, but he was a better fighter in 2005-06 than he is today, before the beating and shoulder surgery.

Yes, still a very good win, Lacy was highly regarded as the next big thing, people even went as far as saying he would beat Hopkins, and he would clean up the SMW and the LHW division.

the version who fought calz was better then he is today. lacy is injured and still won 1 round against taylor. he was also bleeding quite a bit against calzaghe

Lacy was a good fighter before he ran into Calzaghe so it's a meaningful win but Lacy was nowhere near as good as the hype suggested.
