Paul Williams, Goossen Respond To Margarito-Mosley

Good grief you all are ridiculous. Williams turned down the immediate Margarito rematch because he wanted to UNIFY the division and was lined up to fight Kermit Cintron for the IBF strap. Cintron hurt his hand and the fight was called off yet PW still had a TV date. Margarito was signed to fight so he defended his title against Quintana. There was a rematch clause in the contract should PW have lost. Quintana didnt GIVE him a rematch. He had no choice. Second fight, CQ is stretched out in the first round. END OF DISCUSSION. Dont give me that cold ****.

As far as PW outpricing himself, the bottom line is the only one doing it now is Fraudgarito. Arum made him believe he would make more money then Goosen offered for the rematch with PW and he hasnt been offered half of that for the fight with Shane thats why Arum cant get in touch with him. Margarito is a nobody with no marketability. PW was and always will be his biggest payday unless he lands Oscar.

And as far as PW beating Margarito, it is what it is. Call it slapping, Tony starting late, whatever, it is STILL a loss. And the ONLY reason you Fraudgarito nuthuggers are coming up with a million and 1 excuses is because you just cant say whats obvious, TONY IS SCARED OF PW. If he fights ANYONE for less then $4 million, it shows he is scared.

And as a side note, Collazo was PW's sparring partner for Quintana and I can assure you, and I have the video tape footage as proof, that Collazo wants NOTHING to do with PW in a real fight the way he got beat up in sparring for 2 weeks.

he knows that he can trash talk his loss to Williams but if he takes 4m for the rematch then thats all he is going to get.. its his chance to make more than 4m in the long run... instead of accepting the 4m > loosing the fight > back to fighting his way up again.

Are you ****** or ******ed? I know PW personally. Have interviewed him on several occasions. I have trained with him at Round 1 gym and Sugar Ray Leonars gym. I know his manager George Peterson. I also know someone who is a personal assistant of Arum. And Margarito isnt getting offered more than $2 million. So anything less then the $4million to rematch against PW isnt worth taking. And here is the funny thing. PW DOESNT NEED MARGARITO TO MAKE MONEY. Arum thinks **** of Margarito. He lowballed him with an initial offer of $900k to fight Cotto before he fought PW. Then came back and lowballed him again with $1.3 to fight Cotto. Now he is roughly around $1.9 to fight Shane....lol.

PW has moved on to the 154 division cause people like Margarito is RUNNING SCARED. I am sure you like the rest of his fans were up in arms when Mayweather wouldnt take his biggest payday against a fighter he had no reason to fight. Yet you and the rest of the nuthugging gang are coming up with a gazillion excuses why Fraudgarito wont rematch the the guy that beat him for his HIGHEST PAYDAY. The facts are the facts. So your logic is, you would rather get $4 million for a total of multiple fights, then $4 million for 1 fight? Saying what you said simply acknowledges the fact that Tony is apprehensive about rematching PW because there is a high probability he will lose?

I dont see how people dont get what it happening here. Margorito is NOT scared of PWILL. Everyone knows that PWILL vs MARGORITO is the biggest fight now to be made at 147 but Margorito has to weigh his options. if he beats PWILL then he just continues on as he does. But if he loses, at his age it would start the downturn of his career. he figures to make as much money as he can then fight his beggest threat PWILL and if both continue to win then the next offer could be worth quite a bit more than 4 mil. As long as both keep winning and PWILL starts to get his name out there then it helps both fighters.

A lot of us who have been watching boxing for a while are a little bit spoiled its not like it used to be. The biggest and best fight to be made is no longer the next fight to be made. The politics of boxing have made it that there is to be a build-up to a fight. look at things like the hbo series 24/7 and how now more than ever they put two fighters on the same card before they meet down the road. its all politics im sure if it were left up to the fighters maybe outside of mayweather that they would fight as often as possible.
